It was rumored to be $12M so the drop isn’t much. Still, this pays him to be a 2 WAR player and that shouldn’t be difficult for him to reach

I want a pet chimp
I'll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it's sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot.- Kobe Bryant
A.J. Burnett's only fan!
chimps can turn vicious
Get a smaller primate. Like Dustin Pedroia.

I'm not saying yes
But I’m not saying no.

I think we can talk him down
Or sign Jackson for a similar price. But Kiroda at this price wouldn’t be the worst thing ever.

It's for just one year
Hell, I’d pay him 15-20 million if they had it if it was just for one year, because it will have no impact on next years payroll or next years offseason spending, and it addresses what is still a big question mark on this team.
I’d rather do Kuroda for more money at one year than Jackson at less money but for 3-4 years. I’m surprised the Yankees don’t seem more interested. Maybe they just have that much faith in Hughes bouncing back.

Better safe than sorry in my opinion
I can’t understand the lack of interest either as he is a dependable rotation guy. 1 year for that kind of guy seems reasonable.

I would prefer Kuroda.....
Edwin reminds me to much of Jonathan Sanchez, who I always liked but finally knew he was never going to get over his tendencies to be like…..a poor jonathan sanchez…..

If it's Kuroda vs. Hughes
Which it probably is, I’ll take Hughes and then worry about it at the deadline. There are pitchers out there worth giving up on Hughes for, but I don’t think Kuroda is one of them.
