The Giants signed Ryan Vogelsong to a 2 year deal
After trading away Jonathan Sanchez, they’re really putting a lot of faith into Vogelsong even coming close to repeating his 2011.
Haven’t looked at the #s on him. Was it a fluke, or is he for real?

I don't think it was a fluke
but still. He had tommy john surgery early in his career and then went to Japan fo awhile so he could be like Colby Lewis and finally figured it out, but its still a lot to bank on it!

The Ryan Madson contract just makes me nauseous when I think about what we are paying Soriano and for how long.

That’s fine. I’d take a long look at Vlad and Scott’s numbers before declaring Vlad a better option, though.
I don’t like Scott, either, with him being a birther and a gun nut and whatever else, but he is patient at the plate and has some good power. Hard to go wrong unless he’s either an overpay or he’s not healthy, in which case I can’t see the Rays trying to sign him.

ACTUALLY
the original Joker as rendered by Jerry Robinson during the 1940s had more in common with Heath Ledger than Jack Nicholson. It wasn’t until the 60s when comic books became absolutely ridiculous (thanks in part to the Adam West Batman) that the Joker became a silly joking maniac.
I should hope so
Its about the only thing I really know much about. Baseball and The Legend of Zelda are next.
Interesting
I will have to investigate this. Admittedly, I do not know much that went on in Batman Comics (or really any) prior to the 60s. More of a Spiderman, XMEN, Marvel Comics, etc guy, but I do enjoy a good Batman. Thanks.
But didn’t Batman also carry a gun back in the 40s for a bit? That bit kind of got erased and will never come back (aside from RotDK).

Batman carried a gun and killed people
Superman was a socialist (and is now one again)
1930’s-40’s comics were pretty real, it wasn’t until the 1950’s when the Golden Age fell out of popularity and everyone was in space that comics started to become fantastical.
