Mark TeixeiraOutfielders
Chris Dickerson
Brett Gardner
Curtis Granderson
Andruw Jones
Nick SwisherDesignated hitter
Jorge Posada
Notable players not on the roster include Bartolo Colon, Raul Valdes, Hector Noesi, and Austin Romine.
David Waldstein is reporting that Raul Valdes will not be on the playoff roster. Meanwhile, Chad Jennings offers some more information.
Notable players who do still have a full locker: Valdes, Chris Dickerson, Austin Romine, Francisco Cervelli, Luis Ayala and Hector Noesi.
Notable players who do not still have a full locker: Laffey, Greg Golson, Ramiro Pena, Brandon Laird, Dellin Betances, George Kontos, Andrew Brackman and Scott Proctor.
This could be a sign of which players are making the roster, or it could just be random. I'm leaning towards it meaning something, as the players that do not have lockers look like they should be the players that don't make the roster.
As for Dickerson, Jennings already reported that he will be on the playoff roster.
When the entire roster is announced, we will update this post with the roster. We will front page it, but still check here for updates.

no real surprises there
Dickerson was clearly in, based on the fact that they used him way more than Golson in September. I presume Romine and Cervelli are being kept around for insurance (though one of them may get a spot if they want insurance for Martin), and Ayala and Noesi are both maybes. I’m surprised Scott Proctor has any type of locker – no reason he can’t bring a practice uniform in a duffel bag, pitch BP (during actual BP, as opposed to during the game), then change back to his street clothes and watch the game from the Hard Rock Cafe.

Proctor should never, ever, EVER see the mound at Yankee Stadium again
while wearing a Yankees uniform.
Also from LoHud
Girardi also said Jesus Montero is healthy after being hit in the hand last night, but the team plans to use Jorge Posada as it’s designated hitter throughout this series.
sigh… and not just for the grammatical error of course.

Kid's hitting over .300 in his first month ever in the majors
What else does he have to do to prove himself?
Romine *and* Cervelli? I don't get that at all.
Romine has impressed the hell out of me with his defense and throwing. Cervelli, when he’s not seeing little birds fly around his head [1950s cartoon reference] is much better than Romine with the bat. I could make a case for either one, but not both. Taking Posada and Montero would mean carrying 4 catchers.
I would like to believe that the presence of clothing and personal effects in Proctor’s locker speaks to his dliatory packing and not to his roster presence.

Huges over Colon??
Hughes has not been very Philthy as of late. I’d rather have Tolo for an inning
I agree. Colon should have made it. He had a fantastic 1st half and Hughes had a terrible 1st/2nd half.

This is not terrible
I’m a bit surprised about Colon, and relieved that Montero did not somehow get jumped over by Romine. Now, let’s see the team actually play worth a damn!
Of course. ERA

Noesi and Ayala's peripherals are almost identical
Let us all congratulate the Boston Red Sox for becoming the first World Champions in the history of sports to NOT make the postseason! Thats not easy to do!
Noesi didn’t exactly make a case for himself with those two starts

One inning in the last game wasn't ever going to change Joe's mind
I just hope we don’t need to see Ayala in this series. That would be optimal.
surprised to see Colon was the odd man out
They couldn’t keep Colon, AJ, Hughes AND Ayala. Of those guys, Ayala is probably the guy I’d want least, and yet he’s there.

i feel bad
for Colon. Dude was a horse all year and now they send him packen. He should have made the team out of principle.
oh lord....gotta speak to bartolo about this....im sure hes pissed...rightfully so
He had enough to atleast be a 2 inning guy out of the pen..I can tell u personally people close to him feels like he got slapped in the face…

so, you're friends with Bartolo Colon, are you?
If so, tell him we’d love for him to post here and relay our wishes to the rest of the Yankees.
wow they kept Colon off?
How much do you want to bet that AJ doesn’t even make an appearance out of the pen. I would also trust Colon over Hughes but I guess 18 winz still gets him special treatment.
had to triple check
to make sure proctor wasn’t on this list.

So actually, this would mean Bartolo is the favorite for the fourth spot then wouldn't it?
Especially if AJ is getting used out of the pen.
I'd be surprised if that were the case
It’s possible, but AJ has pitched much better lately than Bartolo has. And I remember last year, AJ was on the ALDS roster to be possibly used out of the pen, and yet was in the rotation in the ALCS. He’s in the bullpen for this series in case they need a long guy I’d assume, but if they advance and he’s not the fourth starter, I’d be surprised.
In fact, I’d be surprised if Bartolo throws another pitch in a Yankee uniform, but we’ll see.

Possibly
Still think they should go with AJ over Bartolo but it’s their choice I suppose.

For anyone that cares, SWB will play 37 home games in Rochester next season, 7 in nearby Batavia, where the Single-A affiliate of the Cardinals play.
Y’all get it before anyone else.

Seeing as I grew up in Rochester and I still live there a very good portion of the year, I care very much about this.
So thats good news. I get to see them play more.

Excited to see what that dump looks like after they fix it up.
At least it’s not astroturf anymore. It was the worst going to see high school football games there when I was a kid. Kept waiting for a dude to ruin his knee on that stuff.
We need Posada over Romero because Posada is
a guaranteed double play man with men on base.
Posada is also probably the worst baserunner in the
history of baseball.
Colon was much better than Hughes or Burnett this year.
So was Noesi, but you can’t make Cashman look too bad.
Proctor, I hope, has a one way ticket to Mongolia-another
Cashman, what the fu…decision.
Who the hell is Romero?
If you’re talking about the guy on the Blue Jays, should we sign him this offseason too? Because he’s pretty good. Don’t want to take money away from being able to sign Andrus though…

I didn't realize Jesus and Austin were expecting.

Cricket blog?
I don't know if you're talking abour Romine or Ramiro Pena
either way..they both suck, can’t hit for shit. Posada at least is competent vs Right handed pitching.
Also if you bother to watch the game you’d see that Colon was gassed at the end of the season. We’re probably going to rest him. And Colon and Noesi were signed by Cashman if you forgot . They’d make him look even better if they were on the roster. So your points are not only dumb…but invalid.
