Injury updates on the walking wounded from LoHud:

Jeter took 30 swings in batting practice. He fielded seven grounders on the grass before rain forced a stop..."Everything’s good," Jeter said. "Steps in the right direction."

Right-hander Bartolo Colon, sidelined with a strained right hamstring, threw four innings of 15-pitches each in a simulated game.

AJ Burnett was the first Yankee to strike out 4 batters in a single inning, but it was actually the second time in his career that he had accomplished the feat. I am thoroughly un-surprised.

Something tells me Bob Raissman is not a huge fan of John and Suz doing the radio broadcast. While I'm somewhat luke-warm on the pair, I won't pretend not to have enjoyed the line about "Waldman correcting Magoo's vision gaffes."

Already, there is speculation that WRXP, 101.9 FM (rock and alternative) will change its format to a conglomeration of news, talk and sports.

Well that would suck. I love 101.9’s selection of music. They have a really good mix of stuff on the station. It’s what I put on when I’m on the shower.

Also, the only topping I ever really put on Pizza is pepperoni. Oh, and I order it extra hot, to the point where I want to see the cheese bubbling when it comes out of the over!

Starters and meats

Sausage: CC. Always a good choice, reliable, might be a little thick but you love it anyway.
Buffalo Chicken: AJ. Spicy, fiery, usually pretty good but sometimes upsets your stomach.
Meatball: Colon. For obvious reasons.
BBQ Chicken: Ivan Nova. Never really your first choice when it comes to pizza, but you’re surprisingly satisfied in small doses.
Bacon: Garcia. There are plenty of other toppings and it usually works better in other situations (like with lettuce, tomato, and mayo) but sometimes you just have to throw it into your pizza topping mix.
