If my Dad were GM he'd probably cut Sabathia's contract.
He always says he’s good, but he doesn’t deserve that much. No one does. lol
"I'm coming after whoever who has it."
My dad's on death row
If he were a free man, he would hack off the pitching arm of anyone who would dare strike out any Yankee. He would probably stalk each and every Red Sox player and at a very opportune Dexter like moment take them out one at a time. He would hold the umpires at knifepoint forcing them to extend any game the Yankees are losing beyond nine innings until the Yankees scored more than their opponents and won the game. Lastly, he would threaten to do bodily harm to Yankees players’ families if the player wasn’t hitting at least .400 and OPS’ing over 1.000.
That’s what he’d do.
I bet it's good to be playing again, huh?

Not even gonna try to top that
It’s too good.
Unless you're a pitcher or Gustavo Molina, kindly SWING THE BAT and ignore the Binder's bunt signal.
My dad (being a "PROPER, old school" Yankee fan)
Would sign Mariano Rivera to a 20 year contract, talk about how much Jeter’s swing reminds him of DiMaggio, then take a nap.

If my dad was GM....
He would be rich, and he wouldn’t spend a single cent for himself, instead he would try to make others happy (me, my mom, and my brother) like he always does

Hmm this is tough
My dad is a big fan of old school players and the Reds.
I would guess to start he would hire old players for coaching positions. I guess it would look like:
Manager- Torre (again!)
Bench Coach- Pete Rose
Hitting Coach- Reggie Jackson
Pitching Coach- Ron Guidry
He would then try to sign Ken Griffey Jr. and Ken Griffey Sr. and attempt to get Adam Dunn.
Then he would try to get Austin Kearns and force him into being the bat boy, bullpen catcher, designated driver (irony is something my dad loves) and foot rub specialist.
That’s my dad.

If you don't love David Robertson and Brett Gardner I don't love you.
I'm not sure what my dad would do as the Yankees' GM
…mostly because he isn’t used to cheering for a consistently good team!
Sadly the Bills’ only talent is “snatching defeat from the jaws of victory” (as my dad puts it).

My dad as the Yankee GM
I would get to sit in a suite every game and never have to work…That’s what I’m saying…

What my dad would do
- Only sign thick-skinned players who can perform in the Bronx and release those who don’t
- Have his pitchers wear earpieces so he can instruct them when not to throw a 3-1 fasball down the middle to David Ortiz/Josh Hamilton or do anything else dumb (Vasquez in 04 comes to mind…)
- Fire whoever had anything to do with making the Joba Rules
- Trade for Vlad Guerrero
- CALL UP MONTERO

2 things my old man would do
1. Go back in time and have someone smoke Cal Ripken Jr. so he didn’t break the consecutive game streak of his hero( Yanks got money for a time machine) 2.Make sure every game started early enough so he could finish it before Captain Morgan finished him.
Congrats to all who have turned PA into the Yahoo comment boards. New it couldn't last forever. Damn idiots had to go and win the World Series. The dude at the 7 eleven keeps saying fat man in undearwear punch my eye.

My Dad's a poet, not a businessman
I think he’d be a worse GM than Omar Minaya.

My Dad would implement a change that could be felt everyday
Cotton uniforms, so the players could finally breathe and be at least 5 degrees cooler than the other teams.
Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.
My Dad would....
rescue Matt Garza from the Cubs by trading for him to be the Yankees third/fourth starter. A young gamer with big game experience who grew up in the AL East would certainly better the club for this season and seasons to come. Trade for Carlos Beltran, and call up Jesus Montero to backup/split time with Martin.
