Internal Relief
Wow, our bullpen has gone from lights out to a disaster waiting to happen. Not many options in the minors that make sense. We are in dire straits with a starting rotation that seems set to pitch six innings or less on average. We need help finishing off games. We have potentially two that are considered reliable. Rest are simply in question.
Looking at triple A: The best pitchers we have are starters. Do we risk promoting a starter just for this season and potential ruin his progress. If we place them in long relief we might be OK, but the innings they will miss will have an impact on the future.
Long relief: Hector Noesi needs to return to the long relief role, he might become our seventh inning guy. He did a respectable job in long relief. Hate to admit it but next option should be Carlos Silva he has experience as a reliever in the majors. After these two we may want to look at David Phelps, D.J. Mitchell or Adam Warren for long relief. These three have pitched the best. I would prefer to leave these three alone unless it is for long relief or as a spot starter. Maybe time for Yankees to move Andrew Brackman to the pen to see if his control and heat live up to expectations out of the pen. So far they have not done so as a starter. This would allow those other two "Killer Bees" to get promoted from double A to triple A..
Left handed specialist looks like Randy Flores is the best choice, because of previous experience. Andrew Sisco is intriguing but control is the question. The the lizard, Kei Igawa, is the third option. Boy do we need some left handed relievers. None of these guys give a manager a warm fuzzy feeling that is for sure. Obvious our manager needs at least two left handed options at this time.
Here is my choices:
1. Randy Flores the other lefty.-----replace Jeffrey Marquez
2. Hector Noesi long relief / relief. -----replace Lance Pendleton
3. Carlos Silva long relief / relief. ----- replace Amauri Sanit
Cashman needs to deliver help to our bullpen via a trade ASAP.

I actually somewhat like your suggestions, lol. It’s not a bad thing to have a young guy break into the majors in the bullpen. It gives them a taste of big-league hitting without the pressure of starting right away. The problem is when they have success and morons like Mike Francesa throw hissy fits about keeping him in the pen, when he was always a starter.
So now the guys in the subway are saying Jesus is coming on October 21, 2011, but that would mean he wouldn't be on the playoff roster, let alone be eligible for it. I really don't know where these guys are getting their information from...
Here is my suggestions
No, no, and no. Marquez, Pendleton, and Sanit need to be off this team, but not for the ptichers you mentioned.
Unless you're a pitcher or Gustavo Molina, kindly SWING THE BAT and ignore the Binder's bunt signal.
I agree with you on everyone except for Noesi.
He has already shown that he can be very effective for us in relief. But I think we need Noesi in the rotation now with the injury to Colon than we need him in a reliever role.
Oh I’d be okay with Noesi on the team, but he would be coming up anyway to take Colon’s spot.
Unless you're a pitcher or Gustavo Molina, kindly SWING THE BAT and ignore the Binder's bunt signal.
Yeah, I think they've already made the move to bring Noesi back up.
As for the rest of them, Sanit and Silva don’t belong in the major leagues. I don’t know much about Marquez or Flores yet, so i’ll leave them alone. But I do think Pendleton can be a serviceable long man. People are just hgetting on Pendleton now because he has given up 3 runs in his last 2 appearances. Everyone needs to remember that although he was pitching scoreless ball through his first 6 or 7 appearance that he just like everyone else was bound to give up eventually.
That’s because Pendleton is not a good pitcher. His peripherals were going to catch up to him sooner rather than later. He really shouldn’t be on the team, unless he’s the last man in the pen, and even there I think they could do better.
Unless you're a pitcher or Gustavo Molina, kindly SWING THE BAT and ignore the Binder's bunt signal.
I'd rather Brackman over Silva.
I know Brackman is having a bad season at Scranton but maybe putting him into a 1 inning relief role would actually help him. As it was said above maybe pitching in relief Brackman would regain control of his pitches and be able to throw consistently in the mid-high 90’s. Plus, he would only have to focus on his fastball and and breaking ball without having to think about throwing his change-up.
From what I have heard about Brackman, he sound like a guy thinks to much on the mound about throwing all his pitches instead of just throwing the ball. It brings me back to a theory that I heard Mitch Williams of MLB Network say: “Send the guy out there in a role where he doesn’t have to think a lot and can just throw the ball”. To me it makes all the sense in the world to put Brackman in relief because you’d have to think with the way he is going that his confidence is very low right now. In relief it would allow him a chance build back his confidence with thinking to much.
Plus, we have already seen Silva in the majors before and is nothing more than a very poor mans Freddy Garcia. Does anyone really want to see a guy that throwing his fastball in the mid-80’s out of our bullpen in this ballpark. That would spell disaster and I don’t want to see Silva anywhere near the Bronx.
We released Andy Sisco like a month ago...

Garcia or Colon’s replacement.

I think Colon has earned his spot and more
In fact, if we make the playoffs I’d like to see him take the ball in game 2
are u joking? those guys have been great, garcia has had one or maybe two bad starts the whole year along with colon

Garcia will have necessitated his removal from the rotation by that point, so probably Nova.

Look at Garcia's peripherals.
He’s not pitching “great”.

what bad starts has he had besides the red sox game?

His outs are always hard hit balls that happen to find defenders.
That’s not something that can continue forever. He’s getting guys out with smoke and mirrors instead of anything that could be considered good stuff.

This.
Experienced teams of good hitters (like the Red Sox) are the ones that are gonna make him pay. He can get away with this against young, aggressive teams. Look at who his best games have been against (we’ll go by Game Score since it’s useful)
1. 4/24 vs. Orioles (73)
2. 4/16 vs. Rangers (68)
3. 6/12 vs. Indians (60)
4. 5/20 vs. Mets (59)
5. 5/10 vs. Royals (57)
6. 5/31 vs. A’s (50)
7. 5/25 vs. Blue Jays (49)
8. 5/4 vs. Tigers (47)
9. 4/29 vs. Blue Jays (42)
10. 5/15 vs. Red Sox (40)
11. 6/7 vs. Red Sox (29)
The only good start he’s had against a team of experienced hitters was against the Rangers in his first start of the season (when hitters are still rusty anyway). The Orioles, Indians, Mets, and Royals all have young teams who are more apt to swing at his crap. He was exactly average against the weak-hitting A’s. The Blue Jays, Tigers, and Red Sox all have good offenses of experienced hitters who weren’t exactly fooled by Garcia.
In short, yes, he’s good against the bad offenses, but whenever a good offense comes up against him, they’ll likely hit him hard. That’s why we’re so skeptical of Garcia’s performance.
Unless you're a pitcher or Gustavo Molina, kindly SWING THE BAT and ignore the Binder's bunt signal.
what is the alternative to garcia, he has a 3 something era

Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a relief pitcher whose last name was Rolaids?
