Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Girardi Should Go!

Watching this team has been yelling at the TV like a Mets fan.  Of course at the players inability of being clutch, but also of Girardi's tactics.  I'm not the first to compliant about Giradi so I'm probably highlighting the obvious but I need a place to vent.

This team looks old.  And while some players are long in the tooth (specifically ARod, Jeter, Posada), the following regulars (Grandy, Gardner, Cano, Swisher, Martin, Tex) are in their prime years of 27 - 32.  So, why does this team look so old?  The lack of aggressiveness on the base paths.  Yes, we are not blessed with enormous speed, but 10 steal attempts by Gardner in 38 games.  Crazy!  Granderson is 4.  Ugh!  Also, whatever happened to the hit-and-run.  I do not see it.  The team is too stationery.  Yes, the team is not hitting well.  But, personally, I would rather see players thrown out because players swing and miss because of aggressive play, then this stationery wait for the three-run homer.  Press the damn issue Girardi!

And what the heck was Girardi thinking about Posada last night!  Batting 9th!  That is suppose to shake things up!  If anything, I would have rather seen Posada CATCHING a game and keep him in his batting slot and make Martin the DH.  I CANNOT BELIEVE POSADA HAS NOT CAUGHT ONE GAME THIS YEAR!!!  Give the guy a damn bone!  I mean would it kill the Yankees if Posada caught once a week?  It gives him something to look forward to and probably brings his head back to the game somewhat.  Instead Girardi bats him 9th.  I feel like this move alone should be the reason for Girardi's firing and bring in a fiery manager like Bobby Valentine.

Posada is done-couldn’t catch/throw worth a lick last season
Now he can’t hit either.

Nunez can run & so far this season has hit well, but he sits on
the bench. What is the problem with playing Nunez?

My comment was too long.

So here you go instead.

Unless you're a pitcher or Gustavo Molina, kindly SWING THE BAT and ignore the Binder's bunt signal.

There should be a couple of requirements for any "Fire Girardi" comment...

1) Who do you want to replace him that’s currently available?
2) How would that person make the team better?

All Star Break

Give it some time if he can’t fire this team up by the All Star break fire him and call “Sweet” Lou Pinella and tell him to get his pinstripes on. I think he would have been the next Yankee manager if it was not for him wasting time with the Cubs

What in the world does this even mean?

I don't know what that means, either

I do agree with the “too stationary” part. And I’ve mentioned many a time the lack of the hit-and-run. As many DP’s as we hit into you’d think it would happen more.

I bet it's good to be playing again, huh?

Dude, im not a Girardi guy but this is a joke

Girardi didnt build this team, its not his fault he is stuck with aging players with bad contracts and big egos. Id rather bring back Stump Merrill before id bring in that overrated piece of crap Bobby V. And Posada behind the plate is awful, besides the fact that his back hurts, we need a catcher that can throw out Prince Fielder if he was stealing 2B, Jorge wouldnt be able to.

Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but milleniums in a place with no doors.

What part of Posada has injury concerns from concussions that the organization is worried about is difficult?

His post concussion tests results were troubling to both him and the team, so they aren’t letting him catch because they would like for Jorge to know who his kids are in a couple years. Add that to the fact that he’s terrible behind the plate and you get why he hasn’t caught a game this season. The Yankees should be in the business of winning and having a former catcher catch just to soothe his ego is not the best way to do that.

It's like being a huge fan of winning, which we do, relentlessly.

Giradi is the reason

FOR TEH RISPFAIL.

And yes, considering how many concussions he has sustained it literally might kill Posada if he catches another game. Not to mention he fucking sucks behind the dish.

Strikeouts are boring- Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.

For real fun, I suggest the Yankees, instead of firing Joe Girardi, insist instead that all difficult decisions be made by using a Ouija board to contact the Ghost of Billy Martin and the Ghost of Casey Stengel. Henceforth rule by the Board and not the Binder!

Either that or run a “quick poll” on Pinstripe Alley.

Farewell and thanks to #46.

Because I am kind of embarrassed at how close it is
