Trade proposal/ 2012
Here is a Trade proposal and how that trade will make a BEAST 2012 team
We all know the Yankees have starter issues. So here is a trade proposal i think is pretty fair (let me know your opinion)
Hughes, Montero/Romine, Joba, & Brackman for King Felix
though it might not help us much this year (dont get me wrong; i still have confidence and King Felix is a major upgrade over Burnett for #2), 2012 will be a lock for a championship
2012 PROJECTED LINE-UP (not even taking into account offseason signings, also assuming Swish resigns)
*********************I made the lineup that is ideal for me. most likely, it wont happen though************************
1) Brett Gardner, LF
2) Nick Swisher, RF
3) Robinson Cano, 2B
4) Alex Rodriguez, 3B
5) Mark Teixeira, 1B
6) Curtis Granderson, CF
7) INSERT DH HERE
8) Derek Jeter, SS
9) Austin Romine/ Jesus Montero, C
2012 PROJECTED ROTATION
1) CC Sabathia
3) AJ Burnett
Add in Mariano and Soriano in the bullpen, and mark up #28 (or 29) for 2012

Dear King Felix again?
okay lets get some facts straights:
He’s going to cost the farm
Mariners have no intention of trading him
Felix has a no trade clause to New York
Can we stop with the King Felix trades?….i mean if you’re going to make trade proposals at least go with a pitcher that has a reasonable chance of being traded…You have a better chance of making this happen on MLB the Show.
Preach.

So much wrong with this post… Felix is not going anywhere, and especially not to the Yanks at that low a price. Even if he was on the market, I can almost guarantee that Montero AND Banuelos would have to be part of a big package for him.
Also I am highly skeptical of Betances & Banuelos being in the rotation so soon. Even if they post an amazing year, they’ll each only have less than a season of AAA under their belts. Banuelos is more likely than Betances but still.
Did you know Joe Morgan thinks Cano will win a batting title one day?
It’s A.J. Burnett, not AJ Burnett.

Hughes has little value now
Yes, that is Kyle Kuric

Yeah, Hughes + Romine + Joba + Brackman does not get it done. Not even close. Hughes has pretty much no trade value right now. Brackman has some, and Joba and Romine have more, but that’s not near enough. For Felix, you’d have to go Montero, Banuelos, Betances, and probably more.
I saw a guy in the subway holding a pamphlet that said Jesus was coming on May 12, 2011. I don't think it will be that early, he would still qualify as a super two, so they need to wait until June to delay his arbitration clock.
That's why the Mariners should give him to us for whatever prospects we deign to throw their way
Wait, that’s not how it works?
Other teams don't live to take the players we don't want for the players they have that we do want?
Are you sure about that?

Well, it worked that way in the Betamit <→ Swisher trade.

King Felix
- they ain’t trading King Felix this year (maybe in a year or two). #2 they ain’t trading him for that parcel of prospects EVER. Let’s get real – any team willing to trade an ace-type pitcher needs to be hurting financially – see Florida Marlins.
they aren't/weren't hurting financially
their owner would just rather keep the dough for himself than field a better product

No kidding. If I had a dime for every time I’ve heard “trade for King Felix”..

the Adams Kid (2nd baseman who seattle wanted in the Lee trade) & Montero/Romine
for King Felix and Suzuki…Seattle cuts payroll…Has a right fielder to replace Suzuki and all those kids to build on….U wanna dream DREAM BIG…..I needed a laugh after tonight debacle…
