Tweeted by Michael Kay. It's over for one of the best pitchers the Yankees ever had. He's earned retirement. We'll always remember #46.

we'll miss you champ
I’ll miss the most clutch yankee pitcher of my lifetime for sure.

I understand why he did it, but I’m still sorry that we won’t get to see him take another lap around the MLB for one last season. What an incredible privilege to watch him pitch for the past 15 years…thanks so much for everything, Mr. Pettitte.
Evidently George Steinbrenner was the ultimate wagoner.
Your fellow Yankee fans are not the enemy.
Congratulations on a terrific career
Can’t argue with five world championships. I’m still concerned about this season’s rotation, though.
March 31st can't come soon enough.
The man with the sexiest southern accent in all of Baseball.
I don’t blame him for wanting to retire. I wouldn’t want to have to take the heat for testifying against Roger Clemens in his upcoming trial while being an active Yankee player either.
"It's our money," owner Arte Moreno said.
wow wouldn't it be awesome to retire so young
great clutch pitcher, stay home and be a great dad and enjoy it.
Any task BIG or small, Do it well or not at all
