Man i wish we can put betance/Banuelos into a hyperbolic time chamber. So much rather see them as our 5th than Garcia or Colon.

Trenton Thunder ...

Putting the killer B’s in Trenton will give them some serious thunder. Historically it’s been the Yankees way to start veterans over youth. Sure there are rare exceptions, but I suspect we’ll see Colon and Garcia at the start of the season. I also suspect that after each makes three or four starts, the wheels will likely fall off Colon and one of the B’s will be a buzzin’ in NYC.

And if Banuelos is magical in NJ, by mid-season he’ll be donning the pinstripes and we’ll be drawing comparisons to Dwight Gooden of 25 years ago.

Greg Golson was hit in the head by A.J. Burnett during a batting practice session on Sunday morning.
Golson was taken off the field in a cart, but fortunately everything checked out OK. “He [Golson] probably won’t play [today],” said Girardi. “But he is OK.” As easy as it would be to blame this incident on the erratic Burnett, the Yankees feel the glare made the ball impossible for Golson to pick up. According to Marc Carig of the Newark Star-Ledger, the Yankees plan to stop hitting on the back field of their spring training facility
