Kuroda & Lilly
There was rumor a few days ago in Japan that Hiroki Kuroda signed a 1 year 12 million deal with the Yankees. That statement was later denied by Yankees beat writer. I wouldn't mind Kuroda in pinstripes next year. He is a good &experienced pitcher, and even though he is always around the same W-L stat, he did pitch for a team that didn't score any runs for him. Last year Kuroda went 13-16 with 202 IP, and a 3.07 ERA while striking out 161. The stats don't jump off the board, but you know that they can improve because over the years, his IP have gone up, & the ERA went down. The Yankees would easily score runs for him, so the stats would look better. Here's the projected rotation with him. CC, Nova, Kuroda, Hughes, Garcia. Hiroki isn't the Hernandez that we would have for lets say 10 years, but he is a temp. replacement. Ted Lilly's name hasn't been brought up this offseason by the Yankees, and i don't get that, because they went after him when the Cubs put him on the trading block a few years ago, and he would be a good person to stick in the rotation. The Dodgers may want to free up cap with their debt at the time being. Ted was a Yankee for 3 years, and the stats wern't good. He was just developing. The stats aren't these great stats, but the ERA is under 4, the IP have always been around 190, and again, he would be a good temp. replacement for now. The rotation with him would be...CC, Nova, Hughes, Garcia, Lilly. In the near future though, i see the Yankees going HARD at Felix Hernandez, and I would expect to see him locked up in pinstripes for a long time, and maby even till retirement. Thoughts?

Yeah.
I would expect to see him locked up in pinstripes for a long time, and maby even till retirement.
Keep telling yourself that.

Sigh you started off reasonable with kuroda
but then go off the deep end with Felix…
I’ll take a moment and pretend you didn’t bring up Felix and say this:
Kuroda is a very solid pitcher and well worth a short term contract. He effectively is a good number 3 and maybe a number 2.
Ted Lily is not very good. He would be a number 4-5, which we can easy get with a guy from the minors. Too fly ball heavy for yankee stadium
I’m not sure if they go after Felix or not, but it’d be awesome if they did… I just don’t see it with all the talk about cutting spending.

Of course they would "go after" Felix...
It’s just that when it comes to trades there is the teensy problem that the team who currently controls the player has to want to trade him.
