Agreed. No preference...
…but I would love to see a game like last night.
And I’m probably rooting for the Cards since the game is on their turf.
I think St. Louis wins, 5-1.
Just once I'd like someone to call me "Sir," without adding, "You're making a scene."
I'm thinking the Cards win tonight 5-2
I’m mildly rooting for Texas, though. The actual baseball fans around here are fairly long-suffering, and last night probably did a number of them in.

also we have a catcher that should be the everyday C just like him.
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
One major difference
He’s not actually the starting catcher unfortunately.

Both he (and McCarver) did something that I really like from announcers last night. When important and exciting things were happening in the late innings and the crowd was very loud, they didn’t feel the need to continually yap over it about “how dramatic, poetic, etc.” everything on the field was, as Michael Kay incessantly does.
They just shut up and limited their talking to important details and let the volume of the crowd and the events speak for itself.

Another not to do
That game in 2004 against Boston when Jeter dove into the stands. After Flaherty won it (still not sure how that happened, but it did), rather than being able to listen to the crowd and watch the celebration after a huge, comeback win vs. Boston, I get to listen to MIchael Kay shout “WHAT A GAME” approximately 2,000 times. And thats something he does far too much during dramatic moments.

When they traded A-Rod they took up part of his salary and they weren’t able to field a competitive team beacause he was eating like ten percent of their payroll. Because they weren’t competitive they traded Teixeira to Atlanta for prospects. One of those prospects was Neftali Feliz who blew it in game 6. A-Rod’s fault.

instead of just tipping our hats to the Cardinals for winning.
I see both sides of the argument.

It's just something for the talking heads to fixate on
So they can pat themselves on the back and say “I could have done better”. Meh. As soon as this game is done, my interest in it will be over – but I’ll be unable to avoid it unless I avoid all sports journalism for at least two weeks.
There are certain series’ that I just tip the cap. Sweeps, blowouts, etc. When it is decided by so little it’s tough not to ponder.

Both managers made mistakes
Both teams had the moments, good and bad. In a close series, there are so many places where it could have turned, that trying to pick one play, person, or even game is very arbitrary. The only purpose it serves is to give people something to talk about, which I guess is fine. I’d just rather talk about next season than worry about why this series ended up the way it did. It’s enough that it went 7 games and gave us a lot of good entertainment.

You have a lineup full of guys who can mash. Stop friggin bunting.
That no doubles defense last night was so moronic that Buck and McCarver knew it was moronic. Why would you even go to Feldman tonight before CJ Wilson? I could go on.

That is a tough call, but if you want the best pitcher it is probably Feliz.

You get a 2-run lead to take the lead and win a World Series
you leave your closer in to pitch the 10th.
Feliz hadn't inspired tons of confidence to that point, to be fair.

Who had in their bullpen?
He got them there, you go with him. Would you take Mo out in the same position?
Feliz hadn't had a great season either, so I'd argue he didn't really get them there.
Mo and Feliz are not the same thing.

we need the Rangers to score 4 in the 9th and send it to extras
This game is for the birds.

It’s crazy to me that if Cruz took a better route to the ball last night we would not be watching this game and the Rangers would be World Series Champions.

I'd have definitely preferred for them to win
Two losses in a row, let’s see if they can build on consecutive AL pennants at least.
I think they have a couple more seasons at least to rule the AL West.
Maybe Trout turns around the Angels eventually or maybe the Mariners build on Ackley and Felix sometime soon. Till then, I think it’s Rangers.
