Really, Red Sox fans? You’re the only team that gets injured? No Andy. No A-Rod. 7 gm win streak. Congratulations on persevering and having a solid season and everything. Sure, your injuries hurt. But stop blaming it all on injuries. John Lackey looks pretty healthy to me. The Yanks have been dealing with guys getting banged up all year long. Maybe we’re just…dare I say…better?

True, the injuries have been terrible...
…but, if you think about it, Pedroia and Youk are their Tex and A-Rod. We’re missing half. And Grandy WAS out, and never really came back until about a week ago. I’m not saying their injuries haven’t been devastating, but everyone deals with it. Sometimes you’re just unlucky- remember the ‘08 Yankees? What I’m saying is, I’d like to hear a lot less “woe is me, my team is hurt, that’s not fair.” from the Sox faithful.

didn’t mean to spark any of that… my what-if thinking is dangerous? In what way? That’s what I was trying to say earlier. Guys like Eric Patterson, Jed Lowrie and Bill Hall have been playing out of their minds for the Sox, so they cant blame it all on injuries. It might be tighter with them at full strength, it might not be. But this is what actually happened.
