Well, this really looked like it was going to be a tough game for the Yankees to take, with Rick Porcello looking very tough early on, and Phil Hughes giving up another Miguel Cabrera home run (what is this guy's deal?).
Then, the 6th inning happened. 9 runs on 6 hits and 3 walks, capped by a Robinson Cano home run. Ah, that's more like it.
Play of the game: Cano's double to make the score 3-2 (Increased the Yankees odds of winning by over 16%)
Comment of the game: Jedi Master A-Rod
Cano's shot ended up in Monument field.......monument center..........monument park.

What brought up this question is I was watching Matt Latos pitch today
this kid looks like the real deal, if he can keep it up for the next couple of years, he would probably be in the conversation
I question Latos for a few reasons: A 2.32 ERA and an 8.89 K/9 are terrific.
A 3.26 FIP, a 3.45 xFIP, an 85% strand rate, and playing in the NL West say that at least a full point of ERA regression is likely, especially when hitters have had a good look at him, or he starts facing better competition.
