Definitely borderline
I think his 1555 hits work against him tremendously. But he has a lifetime BA of .275 (not too shabby), 255 homers and 1003 RBI (tremendous power for a catcher).
One of the most underrated aspects of Jorge Posada’s game is his ability to get on base. He has a .378 OBP lifetime. That’s higher than Yogi Berra, Carlton Fisk, Johnny Bench, Gary Carter and Roy Campanella… all of whom are HOFers themselves. Only two HOF catchers have a higher OBP; Mickey Cochrane and Bill Dickey. This works in his favor most, in my opinion.

Actually I don't think 1555 work against him TOO much.. but that is definitely not his strong point.
Didn’t mean to say tremendous twice above.
