Minor League recap interest
Some of you have an interest in doing a daily recap. I like seeing who is doing what down on the lower levels. Those of you who are interested (Edgware, Greatscott) - if we could start a rotation I think it could work out. Plus we could add to the blog while not overloading our mods.
So could we do every third day?
I can start tomorrow.
Jramey - Edgware - Greatscott - Jramey - Edgware - Greatscott
eh? looks okay?

I could help, if you want.
I know a lot about the Red Sox minor leagues, but I know quite a bit about the Yankees system too.

The writers are going to do this on the frontpage
We never thought you guys wanted it, me, Duggan, and Travis at least are going to do this. We’ll do it all week on the front page, hope you guys don’t mind the misunderstanding.

Oh yeah, that's fine.
Just as long as someone does it, I’m sure you guys will do a good job
Did you know Joe Morgan thinks Cano will win a batting title one day?
I can still help, right Barndon?

I'm guessing any inkling of you that may have considered letting her help
dried up when you saw “Barndon”
sigh....

I dunno if they want us to do it or if they're gonna do it but I think it should be every night
If they can’t do it every day they could always ask us help out.
It'll be a weekly post
Lots and lots of analysis and stats and stuff. We’d prefer if you leave it to us

I don't know if Phonty is doing this, I suggested it

Barndon, I think you should let bestboston contribute. An outsider's view (Minority Report) should always be welcome.

it's not that he's not letting her contribute,
they just want the mods to do it. he sarchastically told us to start one ourselves and we did. ha. but the only reason they didn’t do it in the past is because they didn’t know there was an interest level in it.

It wasn't sarcasm
I was talking about the mods starting it, not you guys. Misinterpretation

Yeah I didn't mean in maliciously
Sorry. haha. We just took you up on the offer. No one is mad here

I agree
I could give you updates on Red Sox prospects too.
And I know the Yankees system very well, as good as Boston.

I doubt he's gonna let you, they already have a plan on what they're doing
But here, I want an outsiders take.
Do you think Jesus Montero is capable a major league catcher or will he have to move to a different posistion.
I agree with #1
#2, i see him as a 1B/DH mostly beacuse of Austin Rommine I see as the catcher of the future, and maybe Cervelli, but I am very high on Rommine.
Montero is an MLB player of the future, and if he is traded he may end up a catcher, but if he stays in new york along with Rommine he is a 1B/DH I feel.

I agree with you there
He can DH and Romine can catch, unless the brass plans to trade Romine. Both have rather high ceilings
you know,
the only way I will judge is when he gets called up to catch where pitchers actually hold runners.

that's true, he can't be as awful behind the plate as some naysayers make him out to be
MLB pitchers are far better at preventing good jumps (well, not AJ or Putz) and that should help him out.
He kind of reminds me of a Victor Martinez type
