Picture-Posting Guidelines
I just wrote this in a comment, but I think it'd be useful to have on the side for people to use if they want to know how to resize pictures so that they're good for threads. Please rec this so that it stays high on the list.
Okay picture posting kids! It's lecture time! Putting pictures on these threads is hilarious, but if they’re too big, they cause problems for other people loading the page. So if you’re posting a picture, make sure to resize it to size 300 to make it smaller.
So:
1) Take your link:
http://yourargumentisinvalid.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/node/camelfightscrime_0.jpg
2) Use the image box to get the html code (the slashes are inserted so the text shows up)
<//img src="http://yourargumentisinvalid.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/node/camelfightscrime_0.jpg"/>
3) Type height ="300" into the code after your link (or any height really)
<//img src="http://yourargumentisinvalid.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/node/camelfightscrime_0.jpg" height= "300"/>
4) Then, voila! Make sure you put something in the subject line so other posters can close it if they'd like, even if you just put an "x".

Atta boy! I was gettin’ tired of explaining this.
But, be warned: Those who do not comply with these simple rules for the convenience of others will be met with the vicious power of the delete hammer and some furiously reprimanding keystrokes!

When I post images to boards I use tinypic for upload; they give you a sizing option specifically for message boards and do it automatically when you upload. It also previews your pic so that you can see just how big it will be. For the graphically challenged like me I think it’s a nice crutch to have.

Apologies
I posted some that were bigger than this.. I had no idea how to resize. Thanks

I'm not sure that will help anyone who is having issues with the page loading
Since you still have to load the entire image before it is being resized on the client-side by the browser
It's been proven to help.

Did you know Joe Morgan thinks Cano will win a batting title one day?
I think my picture posting abilities have been disabled.
Anytime I try and embed a photo the post comes up blank. :(
Strikeouts are boring- Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.
