Around SBN: Despite Relocation Drama, Coyotes Overcome Adversity

Yankees 12, Orioles 7: Stephen Who?

Phil Hughes was not great, but the New York Yankee offense was on Tuesday night.

The Yankees kept trying to make this one interesting, but Nick Swisher (5 RBI), Curtis "Grand Slam" Granderson and the rest of the offense would not allow it.

I do have a question, though. After last night's awful ninth inning, how much longer can the Yankees keep allowing Chad Gaudin to occupy a roster spot.

Play of the GameGranderson's slam off Kevin Millwood.

Well

I swear I’m the only one who never liked Chad Gaudin. I was screaming at the television basically the entire duration of the ninth inning. I hate him. I don’t know why we got him back. He was never good in my eyes. If we lost that game because of that idiot…

actually, he wasn't that bad for us last year

He’s trying to pitch his way off the roster now, but I can understand why Cashman decided to take a chance on a guy who did OK for us last year and can, when he’s going right, be an effective long man/spot starter.

Yeah, I understand why he gave Gaudin a chance.

Not looking good for gaud though.

I’ve been saying it since I heard we were bringing him back that he’d be Aaron Small all over again.. A player who goes from a pretty bad career to a stellar partial season with us will not repeat again the next year. There’s a reason why the career numbers are so bad for the two.

Larry Bird definitely did have a strong influence on today’s generation, but the Celtics don’t have an advantage in the series because they have won like 12 out of 17 finals against the Lakers or something when all but one of them were played by an entirely different generation of players, and the rivalry essentially died. My best friend is like this!

She was dating this guy who she said she wasn’t attracted to in any way “but its going good because he pays.” I think it’s ridiculous.

I think whoever asks for the date pays.

So if I say “hey lets go to a movie” I pay, but if he says “wanna go to dinner?” he pays.
