And so far, apparently good at baseball.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
I know most of you hate Javy
but getting rid of Melky has really helped Gardy’s game. No pressure about losing his spot has really gone a long way.
Gardner was playing great last season before he broke his finger.
When he returned, Joe G demoted him to pinch running duties.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
He was named starting CF for opening day
He struggled and lost the job to Melky, perhaps the pressure got to him, he doesnt have those worries now.
Cervelli doesn't strike out, he merely decides he doesn't wish to go to 1st base.

Milton Bradley is an idiot
Just read that he wasnt removed last night, he told his manager " Im packing my stuff, Im out of here"
this
A source tells Mike Salk of 710 ESPN in Seattle that Milton Bradley left the team in the middle of Tuesday’s game against the Rays.
Bradley was frustrated after striking out looking with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning. He yelled at the umpire from the bench until Mariners manager Don Wakamatsu warned him to settle down. Just minutes later Bradley reportedly told Wakamatsu, “I’m packing my stuff. I’m out of here.” Mariners General Manager Jack Zduriencik didn’t address the matter specifically on Wednesday, other than to say something that happens between the manager and his players should be handled internally. We’re guessing that Wakamatsu might not have to worry about Bradley much longe
Maybe he should be on drugs (meds) and he’s not.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
I was watching that game last night wondering where he went
This guy needs to go into a mental hospital
Silva has been pretty good for the Cubs
To think the Rays were trying hard to get Bradley for Burrell, lucky for them they didnt

Actually
we traded that shortstop for him and he sucks too.
You guys killed Chan Ho Park the first game of the year
Yet this guy can keep coming in and get blown away and he shouldnt be knocked cause he had a good postseason
he'll get it back eventually
but I agree with whoever posted above that maybe we should let him blow some games for Igawa… any options left?
Im like the Anti Christ for saying that
Javy is considered garbage and last year is not to be remembered with him but DRob is a saint cause he had a good run in the playoffs LAST YEAR
23 innings for a starter is a huge sample
When DRob is sent down I guess you will still think you are right
He sucks right now
He didnt suck last year, hopfully he doesnt suck in the future, but right now he is awful
I didnt answer because its a dumb question
I dont jump on everybody that struggles just the guys do nothing to help win. DRob was good last year, sorry last year is over.
Well Robertson is struggling and so is Tex
You say since Robertson is struggling he sucks, doesnt that same logic hold for Tex also?
Tex has made contributions with his glove and he has done a couple things with the bat to help us win
What has DRob done for us in 2010?
They have sucked this year
But like DRob I hope they improve. Skipping Javy might help, NJ is getting better and perhaps letting DRob pitch in mop up situations might help
Judging by your comments
You dont want DRob to improve considering you think he sucks and dont want to see him pitch.
You see, you wont quit
I never said I dont want to see him, I dont want to see him in a big spot. He needs to improve before he is our 7th or 8th inning guy. You are a fool if you think he is fine, there is something wrong.
I never said he was fine
Hell I think he should be sent to the minors to work things out. I just dont think it should be said that he “sucks”
Ok, lets hope DRob pitches well next time
No matter where or how they use him, Yanks need him to revert to last years form.
This kid dont quit
And he is 100% wrong, DRob sucks right now. Stevie Wonder can see it, everybody else does but the almighty Yankees10
See
You keep going on with it. Did you not read “lets leave it at that”. Honestly old man You are the one continuing
I just want to say
that I am tremendously disappointed that half of that image got cut off
Javy is a good pitcher who is struggling right now. So is DRob.
I’m all for doing whatever we have to do to figure both of their issues out, because I know both of them are better than how they are pitching right now.

robertson was adequate pretty much the whole season
relievers slump, too, I’d give them both the benefit of the doubt. But just as I support the decision to skip Javy on Friday for his sake and the teams sake, I’d support staying away from K-Rob unless the game’s in hand until he figures it out
but
not enough strikes, that’s been his rep.

Is Mo really so incapacitated that they can’t bring him to finish off the last batter? Go-ahead run is now at the plate!

I thought the dentist is the one that says
“You might feel a little prick in your mouth”, so wouldnt she be the patient?
The ending of
today’s game nearly gave me a heart attack, also I get the feeling something is wrong with David Robertson. It would appear from the pitch pattern that he can’t get his curveball over for strikes. Whatever was the case last year about him hiding the ball well and how it gets on you quiackly clearly is not the case this year. I saw Logan hit 98 on the radar gun. Too bad he walked two guys and could not throw a slider for a strike. It looked like the home runs Roberstson gave up were on pitches down the middle, or worse down and in, and that just speeds up the hitter’s bat. Then again, you don’t want to walk people with a big lead. What a luxury Mo is.
