New Fantasy League Option
The response to our organization of a PA fantasy league was so overwhelming that we've launched several free leagues.
But I know that some of you are diehard fantasy players.
This one is for the diehards.
Sports Blog Nation (PA's parent company) has launched a new partnership with CBSSports.com, and they're offering you a discounted price for starting a new Commissioner's League- 50% off the normal rate when you use this link to sign up.
If you create your own league through the link above, it costs just $90 (half the sticker price). I've created a PinstripeAlley league, and I've been blown away by the customization aspect. I've commished leagues through other sites, and it's not even close. Plus, the Commissioner's League offers a keeper option- something I've always been intrigued by but never done in the past.
If you want to join my league, it costs you nothing (until my team whips you and takes your pride). If you want in, say so in the comments (first 11 are in). We can use this thread to argue over how to organize the scoring, and whether we want to send a plastic trophy to the winner.
CBSSports.com is an SB Nation partner and paying sponsor of the SB Nation baseball communities. This post is one of a series of sponsor endorsed posts related to the CBSSports.com Fantasy Baseball Commissioner League.

What’re your preferences for scoring?
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
Not many, I prefer head-to-head matchups though
Also this is live draft right?
"We're only going to score 17 points?"
Absolutely on the live draft, though there is a robot option in case someone can’t make it.
I also prefer head to head. It’s probably the one thing I feel really strongly about.

"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
Hmm… maybe should have previewed that.
The short answer is, not much for the advanced stuff.
But we can build custom stats. I don’t know a ton about how it would work, but I’ll find out. I’d love to include LD% or WAR- they’re publicly available. I’ll email my contact guy and find out.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
I'd like to be in on this league
Unless I can’t be in two PA leagues at once?
"Son, Nobody is half as good as Mickey Mantle"
Ill get in on this
Looking for a competitive league.
Count me in
If there still space, that is…
"To the second baseman Cano, THE YANKEES ARE BACK ON TOP!!! WORLD CHAMPIONS FOR THE 27TH TIME!"
-Joe Buck. 11/4/2009
I'd love to play
if there is still space. i think I’m the 11th yes, but not sure.

I'm in a keeper league now
and like the added dimention

fantasty
Id like to play if a spot opens up. thanks
Alright
So the 12 are set. What is the next step? do you need emails to send confirmation?
As far as the draft goes, I would hope for a Thursday, Sunday, or Monday Night. Those are my free nights. I am sure this will all be decided within the next week.
For categories, there are so many categories. It is almost overwhelming, but I am sure we will all come to a majority vote on which ones we will want to use.
Pumped up, lets get this started.
Okay, got the email
Tuesday Night draft might be a bit dicey for me, but I can do my best to try and get there on time. Is the draft date set in stone? if so not a biggy. It is also saying in the message board that this league has not yet been purchased and is only a free trial.
Are we supposed to get an email?
Cuz I have a new email- I think it’s different from the one I signed up for SB Nation with. My emails letsgoyankees27@gmail.com, so if we need to get any info, jscape, send it to that one.
Will do.
The current draft day is default. What day works for everyone?
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
damn
picked the wrong day not to read PA. if anyone drops out, i want in.

;)
you should be reading PA at least twice a day.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
I’ve expanded the league to 3 5-team divisions.
Scooby, dan and sunday, you’re in.
That’s as big as we’ll get, though.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
This could get interesting
as our later round picks are certainly going to have to mean something. Waiver Wire is also going to be slim pickings. Get hurt in the draft and you could be in for a long season.
