CBSSports.com Fantasy League
If other readers want to create their own leagues, it's only $90 through this link. It's a good deal- a lot more flexibility than the free leagues, for about 10 bucks a player in a small league.
The league is set, though Edware and Bronxbomber914 have not accepted their spots yet. If you don't accept by Monday, I'm giving you the boot. Email me at jscape2000 (at) hotmail (dot) com if you've not gotten the invitation emails.
The plurality of voters chose Sunday as their preferred draft day: so we'll go live at 7:00 PM EST on March 28th.
The draft order was chosen by the computer (drumroll please):

Again I get the #1 pick?
I’d hope the Knicks have the same luck…but IT traded it away for that POS Marbury! (..maybe the Rangers?)

Question
If the two mentioned don’t accept the league invite, who gets the last two spots? I’m interested in case, you have my info already, send me an invite if a spot opens up

I'll take the other spot
if both of the spots open up.

If you get an open spot
Let me know. I’d really like to take part in a draft since I wasn’t by the last draft.
I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.

nah, I'm picking Hanley again
1B is a deeper position.

Why not Cervelli?
Catcher is even thinner than SS, it sounds like a no-brainer to me.

It's a play that happens on rare occasions
Two teammates who understand each other perfectly “assist” each other in hitting a home run. One pops it up to the other teammate, who is on 2nd base. The runner then takes a bat, hits the pop-up and smashes it into the outfield for a home run. It’s very rare, and can be seen between two players who understand each other and get along well. If Melky Cabrera was with the Yankees, I’d highly recomend you draft him with Robbie Cano in order to win the assist category week in and week out.

They’re points for position players. We aren’t able to have more advanced stats, but it gives us a way to involve defense.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
Are those even good stats to use since assists are putouts are almost entirely chance-based?

I like the idea of involving d, I’m not in love with the options we have.
Suggestions?

I don’t. The only one I can think of is errors but we all know that stinks. I’m ok with those two stats being included.

If putouts is an option
I would much rather have that than assists. If gives a good reason for some of the offensively challenged outfielders we are all going to have on our rosters.

Bradshaw first again?
you’re not paying these guys are you Bradshaw? lol
4th is pretty good. I hope A-Rod manages to slip down to #4, but when he’s the #3 guy, in a draft full of Yankees fans, I don’t think it’s gonna happen.
You get to take whoever is left of the A-Rod Longoria 3B Bonanza!
This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons.
