Spring Training: Pittsburgh for the fourth time

It's those pesky Pirates again, with Charlie Morton going against CC Sabathia.

The game will be aired on MLBN at 1:05.

This was a game of poor pitching: every Yankee pitcher but one (Mark Melancon) gave up at least a run. CC was mediocre again, allowing three runs in 4.1 innings, though two were let in by Alby, who was awful again (.2 ip, 3 er), raising his ERA to 45.00.

Nick Johnson homered and walked. Cervelli looked funny in his new helmet (and went 0-3), but threw out Lastings Milledge trying to steal second.

There's no game tomorrow.

CC was alright until he blew up

run out of gas? I don’t know. But he was better than his numbers would show.

Oh, and ALBALADEJO SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And another HR for Johnson? What has gotten into this guy?

I usually don't say much during Spring Training

but you’re right, Albaladejo is terrible. Looks like a guy who will just never be good. Now that I’ve said something, he’ll probably be lights out the rest of his career.

Let's hope so!

In other news, has anyone noticed how much Albaladejo sucks?

There was a post earlier that said Eiland had been working with Johnson on using his legs more to drive the ball. He said Johnson was hardly using his legs at all in his swing. New found power + the short porch in right could be 25-30 HR for this guy.

Eiland working with Nick Johnson??

I think you meant Long… ha.

Albaladickhead lived up to his name. I don’t want him anywhere near the mound or pen the ML level.

He was almost as bad as the Prates announcers… wow. Actually missed Michael Kay- they were that bad. Not to mention the fact the whole broadcast was dedicated to hocking Pirates season tickets… whoo, tough sell.

CC will go 8-18 with a 5.45 ERA

and Nick Johnson will hit 55HR in 95games at DH.

Spring Training means everything.
