meh...

1) History? Both have illustrious histories…baseball been around longer. So no..not a good reason

2) Parity? Give me a break….aren’t we Yanks fans? When was the last time an AL East team went worst to first?

3) In person experience? – 81 home games vs 8 home games. Easier to get to know your way around the Yankee stadium urinals I’d say

4) Action? To each his own..I like both sports. Some say baseball’s more cerebral…tell that to Peyton Manning

5) Morality? Football cuts players…baseball pays Kei Igawa $5 mill a year. Give me the ability to non-guarnatee contracts in baseball any day…I wish they could be off the hook for that POS’s contract.

6) Skills? Yup, toughest thing to hit a round ball with a round bat.

7) Cost? again, 81 vs. 8.

8) Literature…OK

9) Albert Pujols…Fk Pujols.

Not gonna get in a pissing match

I love football too. Each sport has its good and its bad. FB says it pretty well above.

No need to piss.

I thought the comments that went with the article were just silly.

Baseball is every day. That’s all you need to know. No 6 days of blather about the last game.

Baseball is supposedly too slow. Football is touchdown, 3 commercials, extra point, 3 more commercials, kickoff, 3 more commercials. At least in baseball, the ads are between innings or during pitching changes.

I love both sports

along with basketball. I think I may like basketball more than Football though. I definitely love baseball the most. This is my sport.

I’m a Giants fan, but not hard core like some of the others. I follow the team, I go to some games. But I don’t fuss over it.

I agree that baseball is better. And also FreeBradshaw, I agree, Fk Pujols.

So my brother went

the last Giants’ home game.

He brought a bottle of water. It froze. In his pocket.

ha!

but I have been pretty effin cold at early season and post season games at Yankee Stadium— wind chills in teens at ground level, who the hell knows what they were at the top tier of The Stadium..

parity, contracts

Um…it was pretty nice to see Tampa Bay win the division in 2008, no?

Also, the point about non-guaranteed vs. guaranteed contracts was that football players play a much more violent contact sport (as every single play involves player to player contact). I’m not saying that baseball players don’t face dangers, particularly catchers, but let’s recognize that for football players to suffer the types of injuries that they do and not have protected guaranteed contracts is a bit questionable.

Especially given that I can’t recall many baseball players that suffered an injury during a game that was career ending, which you see much more often in football.

I like baseball the most. I’ll watch football from time to time, root for the Giants, and enjoy a Super Bowl party. But I’d choose a minor league baseball game over going to an NFL game every time.
