I like how Swisher can be grouped in with the bullpen, best ERA among them as well
The Yankees should set aside some day and let him play a different position each inning
Abaledejo is 27?
This is his prime? Definitely Swisher in the pen instead of him. Someone else can hold down RF for an innning or so, and then Swisher can go back to the outfield after he strikes out the side and Rivera or Marte or whomever comes in.

However irrelevant this age 'statistic' may be in relation to an effective bullpen...
This still gets me pumped.
Agreed.
But given the youth, the likelihood for equal or improved performance seems high.

So is Swisher competing for the closer role
or is he going to be long relief?
I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.
Vince Lombardi
I think Swish projects well as a
Starter.
I'm expecting great things from Robertson in '10.
I think he’ll be a great shut-down setup man. If he and Melancon can put together solid years, they’ll be two very important bullpen pieces that’ll be in place for quite some time.
Albaladejo is my sleeper
I like what the guy has, he just always seems to struggle with command.
He’s my new Brunester.
I’ve been rooting for Albaladejo since we got him. I thought it was a smart move, shipping off a mediocre starter (Tyler Clippard) for a reliever who could be an asset in the middle innings.

Clippard/Albaladejo
Clippard didn’t have much as a starter but the Nationals moved him to the pen and he had a 2.69 ERA with a 1.12 WHIP and a 10.0 K:9 in 41 major league innings. He’s also 3 years younger than Albo. Too small of a sample size to say yet, but right now its looking like the Yankees got hosed on that deal.

Oops
Sorry, 41 games, 60 innings for Clippard in 09.

There’s a reason I used the past tense when I said “thought.”
Still hope he recaptures what the scouts saw in him.

If that doesn't get you pumped this will
I sold this group the exact same steroids that the old bullpen was on..Oddly enough Mariano refused them the same way he did yrs ago but the rest of them are juiced and ready to rock.
