SO HU'S STARTING?R

well as we just signed randy winn we also have prospect brett garner bring up the question who is starting?

Star-divide

Randy winn seems like a good player but is he starting over the speedier gardner. Gardner has some promise because he is incredibly fast and plays good defense. I think without Damon and cabrera we instantly have a better defense. If its gardner at center and granderson at left or granderson at center and gardner in left or graderson in center and winn in left. it just brings up a interesting point because we do not know who is starting.

Well as they're going to split time

and you’d have to assume the more playing time will go to whoever plays better, I don’t think that it really matters.

If you made me guess who was the opening day LF, I would say Gardner (unless he is in CF and Granderson in LF).

This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons.

You fail to see the Hawaii/ Philadelphia connection?

both team’s colors are green. meaning this OP is a woman IRL. Only women pick a team based on what color their uniforms are. No offense to women, it’s true and you know it.

I dunno...

Hawaii’s colors are a nice green color.

The Eagles color is like a bile green. Some sort of digested nastiness.

Neither

Granderson to left, Gardner to center, Winn to the center of the bench.

I hope to see that as well, but chances are Girardi will start the season at least with Granderson in CF. They’re both solid defensive players, but I think Gardner fits better in center.

GGBG

should be the starter, but in CF, with Grandy in LF. Winn is a great 4th OFer.

Granderson in center. He was traded for to be our CF for several years to come. It makes no sense to move him to LF and still have a future ? at CF.

Granderson in center

With Winn in the fold, Gardner’s not going to be starting every day. Moving Granderson back and forth doesn’t make sense, especially since he’s not that bad a defender in center either. He also has an arm.

I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.

I haven't seen enough of Granderson in the outfield to pass judgment.

All I know is what I’ve read on this site, essentially. Reports were that Granderson had issues taking the best routes to fly balls, and that his play in CF contributed to the Tigers collapse against the Twins. Gardner has no such issues. In Yankee Stadium, a strong arm in left is just as valuable as a strong arm in center. We’ll see who ends up where, but I’m assuming that Gardner starts in the outfield, bats 9th, and is moved to CF sooner rather than later. If I’m wrong, you may extract appropriate vengeance.
