Yankee Fanbase in Pinstripe Alley

As a little kid, sports always excited me. Growing up outside of New York City, what better community to be a part of than that of the New York Yankee Faithful? This is a community that I was brought up in since I was kid. This community involves many individuals who come together in order to do achieve their most important goal, support the Yankees. We have been more than successful with creating and breaking records in the major league both as players and as a team. The most noticeable would be our twenty seven world series wins. The Yankee fan base is a special one because it relies on tradition, heart, and soul.

I sought the expertise of my uncle Phil. He told me that he's been a devoted fan for forty great years. He said that it was a part of a tradition passed down to him from his father and then to him. The most common mistake that new comers make when they become fans is not even knowing the line up for an upcoming game, and not attending the games themselves. He added that throughout his time being a fan, he connected with other fans, began to gain networking opportunities, and most importantly gaining new friends. Where else can you find friends who have the same interests as you than that of a baseball game with fans of your own team.

After spending some time on this site I had felt the urge to join the site and become a member. It was as if it was an extension from what I already was. Once I joined, I felt the need to contribute to the recent discussion about Derek Jeter with my own point of view, and begin my permanent membership in this community. After being a successful member of the Pin Stripe Alley, it's time for me to introduce it to other fans like me who need to find a place to talk about our baseball team. This site has everything any fan could ever need or want. It was made to support our common goal of proudly supporting our team. Through this site, all people are welcomed to talk about the traditions of the team and how it has successfully been passed on to other generations throughout the years. In order to be a real member of this community though, you have to actually be a fan. You have to have gone to at least one game, participated in the crowd chants, and have some type of knowledge of the game. On this site all the vocabulary we use is based on the same terms that are used in baseball and all we talk about is baseball. Another fact is that you have to be able to discuss the stats and the players and their positions whether they are present or past.

As you become more familiar with the forum, you have to participate by commenting on discussions or even putting up your own discussions. By doing this, you become to familiarize yourself with the other members and them with you. You begin to become a part of the proud Yankee fan base. Now it's up to you to do what I did and influence another fan to become a part of this community.
