What are your fantasy baseball projections?
So obviously I don't want you to rate the top 100, but what's your top 10 heading into next year's fantasy season? Are you putting big value into the players heading into free agency next year? Expecting comebacks from injured players?
Here's mine:
3. Ryan Braun
8. Matt Kemp
10. Carl Crawford

I agree with most of those except...
I don’t understand why Chase Utley gets slighted in fantasy baseball. He goes 30/100/100 every year and hits .290 and he plays the weakest offensive position besides catcher. Also Grady Sizemore is so overrated when it comes to fantasy baseball. I like him as a player in real life but he doesn’t put up what I’d call great numbers.
I’d rank em…
1. Pujols
2. Hanley
3. A-Rod
4. Utley
5. Braun
6. Mauer
7. Miguel Cabrera
8. Prince
9. Howard
10. Wright (I think he’ll bounce back)

I like Wright too
but Utley is overrated because he offers production at a position that doesn’t usually produce, which is fine, but compared to other players he really doesn’t belong in the top 10. Getting a better outfielder and downgrading at second base is a lot better than thinking Utley is amazing because he’s the best 2B in the game.
I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.
Vince Lombardi
Disagree
I think position value is important when you can get someone like Utley at 2nd who produces numbers that aren’t far off from the best hitters in the league. I think of it this way: If I take Utley in the 1st round I can take a 1b in say the 7th round, I’m going to have someone like Derrek Lee at 1b. If I take Prince Fielder in the 1st round and a 2b in the 7th round I’m going to have someone like Howie Kendrick at 2b. While Fielder is a better hitter than Utley, I’d rather have the combo of Utley/Lee than Fielder/Kendrick.

It's different for every league
but when I did MLB.com last year, it was 4 pts for a home run, 3 for a triple, 2 for a double, 1 for a walk, single, RBI or run scored. Baserunning had 2 for a SB and -1 for CS and each error cost you -1 points. I think it’s fair, and that’s how I set up my top 10.

How about I just make a bold prediction?
Curtis Granderson is the NUMBER ONE CF in fantasy baseball this year!
I’m thiking he gets another 20/20/20/20 season. With 30HR 25SB 20 2B 15 3B
You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you are going, because you might not get there
Thats bold lol
There’s a lot of better outfielders than him going into this year, but no doubt he’ll be one of the best. Definitely not the best though. If you want a sleeper take Kemp or Sizemore.

Vince Lombardi
Nope.
Granderson, Curtis = #1 fantasy CF for 2010.

What happens if they decide later on to switch him with GGBG?
You better put a clause in your fantasy baseball contract just in case.

I was watching Mlb network and Rickey Henderson was on
And he said there was no way he swipes all those bags if he is playing center. He states covering center would have wore him down at a much more rapid paceI wonder how true that is?And if so it might keep Grandy from getting more but 20 should be no problem for him as long as Girardi turns him loose. Joe likes to run his guys or atleast so far he has.

Well yea..
I mean, the SB’s that Ricky had was ridiculous. Carl Crawford probably has the same effect being a LF, cuz that man is sure as hell fast enough to play CF.
Grandy should get 20SB no problem if he’s healthy. If Damon, Jeter and A-Rod can do what they did SB wise last year…I have no doubt that Grandy, who’s probably a better base stealer then them all, could get at least 20-25.

in my opinion
1. pujols
2. hanley
3. A rod
4. Utley
5. Mauer
6. Braun
7. Teixeira
8. Longoria
9. Tim Lincecum
10. Miguel Cabrera
Bounce backs:
There is no way David Wright is going to have that low of power numbers again, especially with people healthy in the beginning of the year. He’ll at least have Bay batting behind him instead of Tatis. Also Cole Hamels will rebound this year as he pitched much less innings therefore his arm will feel much better. Also Josh Hamilton and B.J. just cause i got a feeling.
Breakout:
Denard span, Mccutchen, Ross Ohlendorf, max scherzer, daniel bard, and matt wieters
where have you gone Joe dimaggio our nation turns it's lonely eyes to you?
