Shoutouts 4 Robbie
I've never heard any Yankee fan really say: " I just love that Robinson Cano". So in the spirit of about 13 RBIs in about 10 games, props are due. Its encouraging to see him having arguably (06 & 07 were good too)his best season as a young player in his 5th big league season. (he'll be 26 next month)
I mean think about it, he's virtually been hot since the second half of 08! He's had his normal cool-off points, and anti RISP come thrus, but the Ks are coming down, the wild swings/chasing pitches have decreased and the whining has diminished allegedly. And the defense has risen from pretty good to superb IMO.
Imagine a quick shot of some Hustle Juice? If we could get him to bust out of the box after contact, imagine the AVG and OPS spike? So cheers to you Robinson Cano....your .320AVG, 22HR,74RBI,402B and .876OPS ain't that bad.

He's the most frustrating player on the Yankees
cuz unlike Swisher, you kinda expect Robbie to just put it together on every play and show the kind of talent he is.
Cuz Robbie is one of those guys with HOF talent. Im talking about that other Robbie who was a 2B, Robbie Alomar.
But then he’s a bonehead…then he’s hitting GW HR the next second.
I’ll take Robinson Cano any day of the week over Alfonso Soriano tho (talk about frustrating players…)

I'd say Jeter, ARod, Tex, Posada, ...
And I’m going to go with… Damon.
Sorry, but Cano is no better than #6 in my book, with stiff competition for that spot with Matsui. And this is, of course, ignoring pitchers. I’d put CC and Mo up higher than Cano as well.
I like Cano, really. I just see him on that second tier when it comes to asking myself who do I want to see up to bat with the game on the line in the playoffs. Can anyone really pick Cano over my top five (or six, with Matsui) as the guy you want at the plate with 2 outs, men on, down by a run in the bottom of the ninth? Maybe in a few years, but not right now.
Just my $.02

All around i'd go with
ARod, Tex, Jeter, Cano
Talent-wise, Cano really is right up there with anyone. He has a beautiful swing and plays a great 2B. If he develops some better Baseball IQ and situational hitting, he will become one of the best players in the AL.
I still find him fun to watch in a Manny Ramirez kind of way, because you never quite know what you’re going to get from Cano.

If your talking about who the best player is
then it’s A-Rod, Tex, Jeter, Cano. But if your talking about this year? A-Rod isn’t the best player this year due to his hip, and his number aren’t where we are used to. So for this year I’d say Tex, Jeter, A-Rod, Cano. Cano is #4 either way. He has less home runs and rbi than A-Rod even when A-Rod is on a bad hip and started the season a month late. Plus, A-Rod at least can hit in the clutch.
