Yankees 2010 schedule released
They'll open and close the year at Fenway. Really, MLB? You couldn't have the Yanks open the year at Fenway and close the year at the Stadium, or open the year at the Stadium and close of the year at Fenway? To have maybe the six most important games played on the road seems strange, and I can't remember ever in my lifetime seeing the season start and end like it will next year.
Also of note, the Yankees will make a west coast trip to play L.A. (and Joe Torre).
- 97% of seats at the Stadium will either remain the same or drop in price next year.
- Ian Kennedy started game two of the IL finals last night. He was outstanding (three perfect frames with six strikeouts) before Igawa entered and blew it. Scranton now trails 0-2 in the best of five series.
- Elsewhere, the Tampa and Staten Island Yankees won their league titles, beating Charlotte and Mahoning Valley (respectively) by the same 5-2 score. If not for Jesus' injury, the Yanks would probably have four teams in their league finals. Our system, despite only a handful of top prospects, is extremely deep.

It's not just the opener; April is brutal
They open against Boston and then Tampa, play 15 of 22 games on the road (including one west coast trip) and 12 of the 18 games are going to be against AL playoff teams, with another three against Texas the first runner-up. With both Tex and CC being traditionally slow starters, we’ll have to try not to hyperventilate if the Yankees struggle out of the gate.

Tough April but...
I see it as a good thing. The Yankees are awful in April every year regardless of who they play. Might as well get some of the tough games out of the way.

First few games vs sox don;t really mean that much
we proved it this year. I mean could we even have a slower start this year?

You like the letter "g" alot
Doesn’t matter where we start or end the season. I would love to knock out the Sox out on the last game of the season AT Fenway.
