It's sad to see because I've always liked Smoltz. I couldn't understand why the Sox kept trotting him out there to get pounded, so it looks like they finally had enough.

I hope he somehow catches on with somebody, so he doesn't end his career on last night's outing (as fun as it was to watch). Smoltz deserves a better final chapter than that.
