Cruisin' - Sabathia returns to form
The Yanks scored a few early runs and that was all CC Sabathia needed. The only blemish on his record was a second inning homer by Michael Cuddyer. Outside of that, he cruised to his eighth win.
On the offensive side the heroes were Mark Teixeira (4-6) and Brett Gardner (3-5, 3B). Despite scoring 10 runs, no Yankee homered (for the first time in nine days).
And what a catch by Carlos Gomez.
- Elsewhere, Alfredo Aceves has been named Thursday's starter. His limit will be 65 pitches.

yanks remains the best
The important thing is that the Yanks notched their 11th win in 13 games. Hope to see more winning styles. Just like what Gomez did in catching that ball. Awesome! Anyway, in relation to sports event, People are interested in seeing a Steve McNair’s wife photo. A Steve McNair’s wife photo is of more interest after the slain NFL player was reported as having an affair with a 20-year-old woman, Saleh Kazemi. Rumors are starting to fly of a Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi affair and murder suicide. Many would put a payday loan towards figuring it out. McNair was drafted into the NFL in 1995, retiring in 2007, and was a regular feature in the playoffs for both the Tennessee Titans and then the Baltimore Ravens. Many would give a cash advance for a Steve McNair’s wife photo, and the culprit behind his tragic end.

65 pitches for Fredo?
I guess those 4 innings the other day was a method to the madness.
Officially he’s now the next Ramiro Mendoza. What a find ACE-ves is.

Dominanting
CC was just on. It was one of the most tension free games of the season to date. As stated above, kudos to the young Mr. Gomez for a terrific catch on A-Rod or the beating would have been much worse. You would have thought the Twins would have been looking for a little payback after the sweep at the Stadium earlier this year ( 3 walk offs!). Let’s hope AJ can keep the ball rolling.
As far as the Cervelli demotion, I think the club feels they are paying Molina a subtantial amount of money and he’s a solid back up catcher that should be on the roster. Cervelli does bring some energy with him. David Cone had very positive comments about Cervelli. Now if he can continue to improve as a hitter…

Improve as a hitter?
fredny, Cervelli IS better than Molina as a hitter. What are you watching? Also, if David Cone says he’s good, than odds are, he’s good. Trade Molina and problem is solved.

Cervelli is much quicker on the bases as well.

not saying much...
…Rodin’s The Thinker is quicker than Molina on the bases…

Well I I think what McDaniel means
Is you can even use Cervelli to pinch run if needed.

you would need to keep Molina then.......
unless your just trying to say Frankie is fast.

Actually what I am saying
With all things being equal, I would rather trade Molina so he can go to a team that might use him closer to a starter than the Yankees do, most teams do not have a Posada caliber backstop. Off load his salary and have Cervelli as the backup catcher. He hits better than Molina, he is defensively closer to Molina than he is to Posada AND in a pinch you can use him in extra innings to pinch run for someone. He has more benefits to the Yankees right now than Molina. Molina is strictly a backup backstop. You will never pinch run or pinch hit him. Cervelli you can do all three.

Cervelli has options
Molina does not. I would rather bring back Molina at this point, and if he gets hurt again, Cervelli’s a damn good fall back option sitting at AAA. If they trade or release Molina, and something happens to Cervelli- where do they go from there?
We know what the Yanks have got in Molina- plug him back in at backup, Cervelli hones his craft in the minors is the backup catcher from the start in 2010. Let’s not forget that Cervelli hasn’t played a game at the AAA level- he came straight from AA.. so as good as he’s been- he’s not a finished product- especially with a bat in his hand. I think some time at AAA will do good for the kid, and he’ll be back for sure.

Exactly
Do we want Cervelli as a future backup? OR do we want him to get regular AB’s to see what he can do so he might actually be Jorge’s successor?
We all know he can play the position in the field at a well above average level. The only thing he’ll have to work on is his bat, and he can’t do that backing up Jorge and playing 2 times a week.
The thing about trading Molina is that he DOES have value. Why would you just sell him for a bag of balls when you might be able to get a midlevel prospect for him? Sometimes you never know.
