Hello August,..........April Called
The month of April called and said that she'll be taking over where she left off. The back end of the rotation disfunctional, and most of the guys in the bull pen you would rather not see. To put it nicely.
How do you spend the money that was spent in the off season to build a contender, but not address the issues at hand mid season. I am perplexed and not feeling so optimistic.

,.. have you even watched this whole season?
It’s been like this Hot streak, Short period where we look bad, then another hot streak. There’s always shaky moments. But Are u seriously saying the end if nigh with 2 loses? Did you forgot how good andy was yesterday and that we only lost by half a glove. Hell even in April we had a winning record. mitre is bad but don;t expect us to play like this every day.

Excuse me
But I don’t remember Mitre pitching all year, so it’s a new problem that wasn’t addressed. When Wang isn’t pitching well you wait it out, that’s all you can do. When Joba is shakey you work through it, that’s all you can do. When sergio mitre gets lit up,…..again,…..you find a replacement.
I see things you don't see.

Mitre is a 5th starter
a 5th stater in which we won both of his starts his 1st 2 outings.
No one expects him to be Cy Young. We expect to win 2 out of every 5 of his starts. We already won 2……
There was no reason to even expect a ‘blow up’ like last night. He has pitched OK, OK enough for a 5th starter.
There is no need to replace him. His 1st 2 starts have earned him at least 5 starts before he needs to be evaluated.
No one is counting on him being the Yanks 4th starter. Just go out there every 5th day, and keep the Yanks in it. He’s done that 2/3 times, stop overreacting. Pettite’s game has nothing to do with this game.

Winning record in April......
….left us 5 games out of first. You don’t spend the money you spent and then not protect the investment.
I see things you don't see.

I share concern too
but I’m not going to panic. I did that after the horrendus late June roadtrip, then the team got hot and stole the division…….patience my friend. Great teams find their way to win, they’ll do what needs to get done.

April: no predictor of the future
Yankees are streaky, hey.
They are a good team, however, I think why the end of the year they’ll have the second or third test record in baseball. Cashman has about two or three weeks to nail down the fifth position in the rotation. Even failing that, he can’t be any worse than last year, and if statistics mean anything, knowing things change from year to year, Yankees always play better come warmer weather.
