Scratch off a couple more names
Well, you can scratch a couple more names off the list of players the New York Yankees were interested in acquiring via trade.
- The Detroit Tigers have sent outfielder Josh Anderson to the Kansas City Royals. The Yankees were considering him as a replacement for the injured Brett Gardner.
- The Chicago Cubs have acquired left-handed reliever John Grabow from Pittsburgh. Fine with me, I think Grabow is terrible, anyway. I would love to see Scott Downs in pinstripes, though.
-- Check MLB Daily Dish for more on the trade deadline.

I believe so
He’s quality, and he has done it in the AL East.

Downs
Downs would be a good addition. I think that Halladay is headed our way though. All the signs are pointing to it.
