Trade Deadline
The yankees have a solid team right now. Does anyone think we need anyone specific, or who are we going to be able to give up?
I think that Austin Jackson should be given a chance soon, if not him who else do you think the yanks can bring up.
Is anyone against the idea of trading Ian Kennedy?
I think we should hold onto Montero, he has a very bright future. What prosects do you think could be traded and what prospects do you think we should hold onto for the future.

Not sure
If Austin Jackson gets called up to play CF while Gardner is hurt, that’s fine, but I’m not sure why we wouldn’t just plug Melky in there for the time being. If he’s not playing every day, it doesn’t make any sense to call AJax up right now.
Trading Ian Kennedy is a fine idea, except right now he has as much trade value as Chien-Ming Wang. Selling low is a bad idea, and I’m still not convinced he’s had enough of a shot in the majors to completely prove (or disprove) himself.
Well
Jackson: Cabrera’s actually hitting well this month and this season as a whole. I would be totally shocked if Jackson can top Cabrera’s 108 OPS+ right now.
I’m not particularly high on A-Jax, he whiffs a lot. he doesn’t project to hit for a ton of power. he does a lot of things well and has better raw tools than Cabrera or Gardner. but at the end of the day the most important tool of all is to put the barrell of the bat on the damn ball. (unless you can guarentee that you’ll it it really really hard when you do hit it.)
Trading IPK is certainly fine. though your not going to get much back for him now. and he’s still on the DL anyway. so if it happens it’ll be in the off season.
It really all depends on who you are trading for
Would I just throw away two promising arms? No. Would I throw away two promising position players with solid defense and improving bats? No. Would I examine the worth of what I’m bringing in for what I’m losing? Obviously yes.
I don’t think the Yankees will take on another high price guy or “sell the farm” as they say.
I think its all about filling the void that CMW has left. Halladay probably no. Thats fine. Arroyo is possible, but I’m not sure about the overall numbers, although his length in games is much needed.
Truth is, we can all speculate all we want, but at the end of the day, Cashman makes the moves…………….or doesn’t.

Do you know you cannot trade people on the DL?
If I's known I was going to live so long, I'd have taken better care of myself. Casey
Its the minor league DL
Not positive but i think they can be traded.

negative
you could include them as Player to be named later though.
haha
ReggieArodJeter obv cashman makes all the moves, but speculating is half the fun. Anticipating what is to come and deciding what you think is best for the yankees. Most of the time if ur really involved u will end up deciding the same things as cashman. For instance i bet he doesnt get halladay or arroyo, so let’s see.
Ok
If speculating wasn’t fun for me too,I wouldn’t be here.LOL
