Quick Halladay hits
Peter Gammons says the Blue Jays' asking price for Halladay is Hughes, Montero and Ajax. Wow. (h/t to MLBDD)
Meanwhile, Jon Heyman says the asking price is Hughes, Joba and two more. Bigger wow. The Yankees would consider Joba, but not along with Hughes. (h/t to MLBTR)
I highly doubt Cashman's willing to give up those kind of players, especially if he wasn't willing to give up less to get about as good a pitcher (Johan Santana in the '07-'08 offseason).
PS: Jesus Montero went 2-4 with another homer tonight.

Asking price is too high I don’t think he’s going anywhere .. they asked the angels for a package that consisted of joe saunders.. Aybar and 2 of their best prospect.. angel even offered lackey and they said that wasn’t enough

joba rules/ no way. not huges e.r.a. hanging aroun 1. no way.maybe cliff lee. not joba. hgey,or montero the 18 yearl old catch. pros.
I wish Cashman
Would say no to this… To tell you the truth the Yanks have a really good team right now that could definitely win the WS. What they need is another reliable Relief pitcher. Mitre has shown he can handle the pressure on his first game. Off course he needs few more games in so he feels more comfortable but once he is in. Hughes, Joba, Montero and AJAX could all be the future of this organization.
Just read an article on washburn..states that the M’s told the yankees they want both Melky and Brett in return…

Mariners are stupid. No one would just give up two good CFs for a old no. 5 starter. I would rather put Igawa in there with Yankees Offense

that's a strange request
from Seattle. Gutierrez is an excellent defensive CFer, so why would they want not just one, but two more from us?
no way...
no way, we can give up this much talent for halladay. Jays GM is a retard. I guess he hasn’t seen hughes and joba pitch vs. Jays enough.
The way I see it

Im one all for getting Halladay but Hughes and Joba? Most people say Joba not hughes and I have to laugh. What if there roles were reversed and Joba was shutting people down in the 8th.Then you would say no Joba but Hughes is ok.Makes you think for once doesnt it?If he gets traded it will not be for the jays asking price all teams sent a list laughed. They were starting points mostly unless they caught one stupid GM sleeping.Real test starts tonight, this is not a bad team we can just beat up on.
