1st Place Yankees

The Yankees are currently in first place. Nice to hear it again isn't it?

Well after todays game, the Yankees move into first place. Yea thats right first place! Despite an ok at best start Mitre allowed the Yankees to rise while the Rangers slump the Red Sox again. MItre's 5 2/3 innings and some clutch hits by A-Rod and some big innings by the rest of the team, Provided enough for first place. Now that the Yankees are first again lets see how long they can sustain it. It seems like they would go from 1st to five games out in a couple days. But they have won five straight while the Sox have lost three so hopefully they will ride this surge to a couple games out in front.

I like what I see Sports Fans...

These were the Yanks I wanted to see in 09: winning close games,timely hits,solid D, pitching was ok like you said, but I’ll take it for a 5th spot call up @ home. I know that Sox blog will be pushing the button 2nite. Oh well, still plenty games left. Let’s keep it going boys!!!!
