Austin and Shelley on TV
Let's hope this game doesn't have a four-hour rain delay (like the Futures Game). The Triple-A All-Star game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 tonight at 10 p.m. from Portland, Oregon.
The only Yankees to make it are Jackson and Duncan (who will respectively hit leadoff and cleanup). (h/t to RAB) Shelley finished second in the homerun derby.

The AA All-Star Game
What happened to all the great pitching prospects the Yankees were supposed to have in their farm system two or three years ago?Austin Jackson seems to be A Brett Gardner clone and Shell Duncan is a solid triple A minor leaguer.

well, several are on the ML team
Hughes, Joba, Melancon, Robertson. Kennedy and Horne are injured.
the next in line are Ivan Nova and Zach McAllister.
Brackman and Betances have no doubt disappointed so far (though it’s still very early for them).
you should also remember that several were traded in recent years: Ohlendorf, McCutchen, Marquez, Steve Jackson.

Actually I wouldn't mind if the Yankees had 4 or 5 guys
who were hitting close to .300, played hard, had blazing speed, and could cover an area larger than Portugal in the outfield.

if he develops more power and offensive consistency (getting the ball outta the infield…) then i’d want a whole team of gardners!
for a rookie i think hes doing fine though. i’ll b interested to see how his offensive game develops in the coming years

BG
is currently the best CFer in the AL East (and in the top 10 in MLB). i wouldn’t mind more of him.

Sorry
I like Gardy too, but while Adam Jones may out of Gardner’s league, he still plays in the AL East.
And I ain’t talking about Pac Man either.

according to
FanGraphs’ RAR rankings (Runs Above Replacement), which includes both offense and D, Gardner is the best CFer in the AL East (10th in MLB).

The Next In Line!!
Is the left handed Cuban defector….if u give kei igawa 46 million, i would sign this guy for 90 million..

they didn't 'sign'
key Igawa to that, his contract was more like 5 years 25 million. The rest was to get the right to negotiate with him.
Aroldis Chapman needs none of that. I thought they could start at aroun $20 million for him, but its probably gonna be a whole lot more than that. But not $90 million. If anyone wants to sign him for that be my guest. I doubt anyone (aside from the Yankees of course) would even take that risk.
