Even though it doesn't look it...
...the Yankee situation is slowly becoming better. CC has gone for 2 straight excellent games, the bullpen has held up in the last two games, and the Yanks have won two straight series, one of them against the best team in the AL East.
Matsui has come back with a bang, our starting shortstop is back. The Yankees are .500, and yet almost everybody except Damon and Cabrera are having sub-par seasons (Swisher's cooled off too).
So all I'm saying is calm down, yes there are a lot of problems, but everything's coming together slowly. All we have to keep doing is winning series...

Yankees
have the same record they did last year and the year before.
Those that panicked should still be panicking…..cuz they had nothing to panic over in the first place.
Last year they did not make the playoffs. It seems to me that that
panic was pretty legit.
They didn't make the playoffs
cuz they had Sidney Ponson, Darrel Rasner, and Ian Kennedy in the rotation for longer than they should be.
Posada will be back soon and hopefully for good. Wang will be back and hopefully worked out the kinks.
They were pretty close last year to making the playoffs.
Also, A-Rod was hurt for May (not April) last year.
There’s really nothing to panic over. If they are still struggling by the all-star break…Then panic.

You've got two very big "hopefully's" in that statement
and ARod hasn’t shown up in April or May this year. I’m not one of the panickers, mind you, but I will be much more comfortable once ARod is hitting above .200 and Wang pitches his way out of the 3rd inning..
ARod will do fine
His problem is post-season, not regular season. I think taking April off was good for him, as he isn’t the only show in town and could easily play the part of pick-me-up with the team struggling at this point.
The reason we didn’t make the playoffs is simply that we play in the best (deepest) division in baseball.TB tore it up last year, and the Red Sux are still on their horse of being able to beat the Yankees. All, in time, shall work out. Big Papi can’t poke ‘em anymore, so now he sits and ponders on the bench for a while. The Yankees will stay consistently good until MLB ties their hands with rules, thanks to the deep pockets of the Steinbrener family. I find that I am happier with farm products than mercenaries, however. Andy Pettite, Derek Jeter, Joba, etc. But taking in a Babe Ruth or Paul O’neill ever so often doesn’t hurt. End of ramble.
ARod will be fine unless we find out that this is what he
he looks like without PED’s. After all if the D does not E the P then it would not be cheating. There was a big drop off in performance for players who came off the juice like Giambi, Palmiero, Sosa, etc.
Last year Tampa and Boston built up leads the Yankees could not over come. This year… not so much. Unless you believe Toronto is going to stay hot all season. Boston has a 2 game lead on the Yankees and the Yankees lead Tampa.
If you think CC is going to pitch .500 ball all season and Tex is going to hit under .200 the whole season you might buy into the Yankees finishing in third place. An educated fan will say.. we are 2 games behind Boston and haven’t played our best baseball yet.
"If you're not going to compete, then I'll dominate you." MJ
cervelli
Francisco Cervelli has done a more than adequate job at replacing Molina and Posada. He brings some enthusiasm that was lacking. CC seems to like him.
April and MAy
Were all forgetting that the Yanks are never good in the 1st two months of the season. The Yankees can catch the Sox, there ahead of the Rays, and the jays will slow down. There is no reason to panic whatsoever.
