So many fans I've talked to and heard from have told me that they gave up their season tickets and season packages. Why? Because Yankee management screwed up the pricing system. Instead of selling the high-priced seats to their wealthiest fans, they sold them cheaper seats -- the seats we would have purchased if we had not been squeezed out. Meanwhile, opening day was 7.5% under capacity and top-priced seats are empty. So much for home field advantage.
