Bronx Bound 4/26

Today marks the final Bronx Bound appearance for Humberto Sanchez. He was released to make room for Mark Melancon on the 40-man roster. I'd have released Christian Garcia first, but I have to trust Damon Oppenheimer on this one.

Will "The Buffalo Bison" someday be the answer to the trivia question, "Who were the last minor league team Phil Hughes and Mark Melancon faced?"

I'd bring Zach McAllister up to AAA to replace Hughes, but Kontos remains intriguing.

Our player of the week is Francisco Cervelli; the AA catching prospect hit a pair of homers last week (one against the Binghamton Mets- not a small stadium). He has lifted his line to .175/.250/.350. Keep swinging, buddy.
