Nady injured in win versus Rays

From Pete Abe at Lohud.com

Nady Story

Really hurts to have this happen after a terrific bounce back win against the Rays.

Already the panic stricken are making ridiculous calls. While losing Nady will shorten the bench depth, it isn't as if the team doesn't have options. Nevertheless, Nady scheduled for an MRI tomorrow -- so stay tuned and hope for the best.

Short term the question is do the Yanks bring someone up from Scranton and if so, who?

Looks like Swisher has himself a home in right field.

Too early to say

what will happen here. Let’s wait for the MRI results to see if this is a bad injury, though it sounds like it might be.

yea...

i am scared though but its better the injuries happen in the beginning than mid season or at the end, but now we can have Swish in every game pretty much and as long as tex’s wrist is ok solid middle of the order to hold it down till arod comes back around

Injury

If Nady’s injury is serious you lose a lot of the depth and flexibility that being able to move Swisher around gave Joe Girardi. Even the diehard Swisher fans have to recognize that losing Nady for a long time is a significant blow to this team.

If Swisher plays even half as well as he is now,

he will pretty much cement his position as the starting RF.

They do have some depth in Melky and even giving Matsui some excercise in LF may be an option if Nady is out for that long.

It can be a problem cuz while Swisher is incredible right now, its not like Nady wasn’t doing anything, he’s been pretty good himself.

Any loss hurts- Make this an opportunity

I feel badly for the X-Man. Good luck.

The Yanks can easily play with 4 outfielders for the moment.

I’d like to see Miranda called up.

He had a good spring.

He has little or no future with the Yanks (TEX). IF he can utilize some “showcase” time mabe he can become someone we can trade for prospects who can have a future.

Somebody will have to leave when Arod comes back, so it’s a short term situation.

If I's known I was going to live so long, I'd have taken better care of myself. Casey
