The Yankees face old friend Sidney Ponson (8-5, 5.04 in 2008) today in Kansas City. Andy Pettitte (14-14, 4.54 in 2008) is on the mound as the Yankees try to square their record at 2-2. For the Royals, this is their home opener.

I got a feeling the Yanks

are gonna REALLY REALLY REALLY miss Kyle Farnsworth.

I know he had som dud games. but sometimes relievers do. Scott Proctor sucked, but Farnsworth to me was a damn good setup man.

Farnsworth irony

This guys comes in and strikes out the side when his team is trailing by three.

He has a plus fastball and a solid slider but usually his pitches are flat. At least while he was with us. I grew a knot in my stomach every time Joe Torre had summoned him in.
