Eleven pitches. Eight strikes. Two called third strikes. Side retired.
Yes, Mariano Rivera is back. I watched his inning of work last night against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and it made me smile.
After off-season shoulder surgery, Mo looked like Mo in his first appearance of the spring.
“I feel real good,” Rivera said. “I don’t want to say I was expecting this, but I was happy with the results. It went well. Location. Pitches. I think everything will be fine.”
That is the best news the Yankees have had so far this spring.

Mo was dominant
last season so I’m really looking forward to seeing how he performs this season after his shoulder has been cleaned up. The guy just makes it look so easy….

who the first hitter was, but the poor guy was helpless. Three pitches, no swings, three strikes, go sit down. Loved it.
