Around SBN: Champions League Preview with Jimmy Conrad

Quick summary of today's 7-4 loss

Sabathia didn't have it at all, allowing five earned runs (with no Ks) in just 1.2 innings. The big blow was a two-run homer by Mr. Sheffield. Pete Abraham thinks it was because CC wasn't throwing his cutter, which he reserves until late March.

Johnny Damon went 2-2, Posada went 0-1 but drew two walks, and Tex went 2-3 with a walk.

Al Aceves didn't pitch too well as he allowed two homers in 3.1 innings. The bullpen (Bruney, Veras and Melancon), however, was flawless, throwing three shutout innings with four Ks, no walks and just one hit.
