Junior?
I wonder how cheap Junior would come? Granted I like Gardner and I think Joe likes him even more...but Griff might be pretty hungry for a ring...who else gives him a better shot than the Yanks to win one in probably his last year in the show? Anyone know what his arm is like in comparison to Melky and Brett? I know the bat isn't even a shadow of what it was, but would he be a calming presence for A-rod (Mariner connection?)? He is at least is a little more intimidating stepping into the box than Brett or Melkish.Yes he's old, but on the cheap isn't he better than Gardner if it seems like everyone is just waiting for Ajax to come of of his cocoon?

No way Griffey has the legs to play center.

He's bitter
He hates the Yankees and especially Steinbrenner for something that happened when he was a kid. I heard him in an interview say he would never agree to play for the Yankees. To borrow from Jerry Seinfeld, “That’s a shame.”

yeah, it's rather silly
a security guard wouldn’t let him onto the field (or something similar) one time when he was a kid (and Sr. was on the Yankees), and therefore holds a grudge to this day.

Cry Baby
I don’t want him we need someone who is going to play not sit the DL half the year. I have always hated Junior anyway he cried his way out of Seattle and did nothing with the Reds except suck their payroll dry. Retire already no one wants you.
