Would you take Manny for $7 mil a year?
So, let's say Manny agrees to a three year, $20 mil a year deal. If possible, would you move Matsui ($13 mil) and Nady ($6.55 mil), get some mid level minor leaguers and eat $7 mil of Matsui's salary? A net of $7 mil increase to the Yanks' payroll but how would the lineup look?:
Damon (LF), Jeter (SS), Manny (RF), Tex (1B), A-Rod (3B), Cano (2B), Posada (C), Swisher (DH), Melky (CF)
Probably not ideal.
Your thoughts?

I would
I would take Manny for that. I think having a hitter like that we will bring home number 27 this year and to me that is worth and extra 7 million.
Some people don't want to face reality
But Manny isn’t coming to the Yanks. No way. No how. No chance.
Especially not for $7 million
I gotta go 'cause I'm probably definitely gonna nod out again.

Agree
I agree that Manny will not be on the team. I just thought it was an interesting idea to get feedback on.
With the current FAs taking a major hit with their contracts (I mean $8 mil for Abreu?) I think the Yanks should make one more move. Not Manny but maybe they should resign Abreu for 2 years. He is a quality bat and would be much cheaper than Manny.
Although it would be great to get a top of the lineup guy. Not sure there are any out there.
Just want to mention that I am disappointed that the Yanks did not make a move for Wigginton. He just signed 2 years for $6 mil for a good utility player and solid bench guy that was reasonable.
