New Yankees Dive into Twitter

If you haven't heard of Twitter yet, you should go sign up RIGHT NOW!  Seriously, everyone is doing it.  Don't you want to be cool?  Well now, not only can you follow the comedic gold that is the THE_REAL_SHAQ, but a few New York Yankees have popped up.

So while I was setting up my account for Yankees blog posts (sorry that both of my first posts here have involved Twitter...it's just that I found these as a result of the first post -- I don't work for them or anything), I came across two new Yankees with relatively new accounts.

C.C. Sabathia on Twitter

Here is an example of one of his Tweets...

Suck it Cleveland and Milwaukee fans!

Nick Swisher is also posting

Hey, as long as you start off doing well, you'll have no worries!

Hopefully they keep posting during the season, as it would be pretty cool to follow their thoughts -- and even cooler if they engage with their followers!

Maybe these new Yankees will get some of the other players to join too.  I wonder what A-Rod's would say?

"Heading to talk to Peter Gammons...man this is gonna suck!"

"@YuriSucart, we chillin' tonight?"

"this sucks"

"going 4 a tan"

What would other Yankees tweets say?

Legit?

Are these Twitter pages legit or just made up by some fans? I was looking at the Shaq one and it looks a little fake to me. The Sabathia and Swisher ones look a little more legit, but I’m still not 100% convinced. I am not a member of Twitter, but I was contemplating joining just because CC is on it (if he really is). Any confirmation would be great!

Thanks.

shaq is definitely legit, he's just nuts!

Some guy who was following his updates noticed he was at a nearby diner, and met him
