What was under your tree?
Here's hoping Santa brought you something nice Friday to add to your 2009 World Series collection.
He brought me the World Series DVD, which I have not had the opportunity to watch yet, and a World Series t-shirt. That adds to the cap and shirt I bought myself right after the World Series ended.
So, what was the favorite Yankee-related item under your tree this Christmas?

I got a Yankees Championship ornament for next year
also 2 WS champs shirts- one Tshirt and one sweater, and a cool Yankees pen as well. The ornament was probably the best though.
The New York Yankees Perfect Games and No-Hitters DVD set
(Well, it was really for my birthday earlier in the month, but I kind of combine the two.) This was a gift from my sister-in-law, a staunch Red Sox fan. She said it was painful buying it for me; somehow I think this year’s WS DVD would’ve been too much for her.
I just watched the Don Larsen game with my Dad. Even if it hadn’t been perfect, I think it would’ve been remembered as a classic.
Usqueadbaugham! Anam muck an dhoul ! Did ye drink me doornail?
I got a poster sized version of this picture:
I also got a street sign that says Pinstripe Alley.
"Have faith in the Yankees, my son. Think of the great DiMaggio."
A Yankees AL Championship T-Shirt
Which was made all the sweeter because it came from my Aunt who’s husband (the brother of my mother) is a staunch Mets fan, oh the sweet taste of irony, he even had to clarify that it was her that bought it because he would have nothing to do with that kind of gift.
I didn't have to
read any left field posts and ridiculous predictions out there for a whole day weehee.
Anyone who mentions salary caps as an answer is unemployed. Say Hello to my little friend,Al Pacino-Scarface

CC Sabathia's skills
If only Santa could give me the gift of having CC Sabathia’s pitching skills. Everybody’s dream is to play and start in the Yankee Stadium. Imagine the 50,000 fans watching you pitch a shut out game. It will be intense.
Not to mention I will be receiving CC Sabathia’s salary so that I can quit my job.
If only Santa is willing……
Got a Tex jersey
But it’s not “authentic”. Hell, I’ll take it. They ain’t cheap, even the replicas anymore.
My brother had bought a Mat jersey (when he was still with us), but didn’t officially open it till Christmas. Still gonna represent it.
Got a Championship T-Shirt
and a championship logo for my car window. I bought the new World Series DVD collection for my other half — the poor Mets fan. Want to place any bets on when, if ever, he watches the DVD of the 2000 series? LOL
Merry Merry and Happy New Year !!!!!
A&E 2009 World Series DVDs
All six games of the WS, plus Game 6 vs. the Angels.
Also got a World Series Champs beer stein/shot glass set.

I got a Prince Albert piercing.
A baseball bat with the Yankee logo and #27 engraved on it.
There’s other stuff engraved on it too supposedly..but its still ‘healing’ and I haven’t gotten a good look at it.
"It ain't over till its over"---
3rd down + Steve Smith = 1st Down.
"I just saw Avatar, and Sean Avery was hands down the best character!"
Got a 2010 calendar
With Brian Bruney’s picture for the month of October? Every other month has a legit Yank though. But I didn’t understand that choice.
Anybody in the mood for a repeat?

The parents were VERY nice this year:
Obligatory hat with “2009 Champions” on it.
Gigantic framed official collage of pictures of Jeter and Gehrig, commemorating Jeter’s breaking the Iron Horse’s all time hits for the Yankees record. Also has a little bit of dirt from both old and new Yankee Stadiums, and a Jeter autograph. I can’t imagine how much they paid.
My brother also pitched in a “DYNASTY DEFINED” Nike Yankees tee shirt.
A 2009 ws flag
I live in South Jersey, about 25 mins from Citizens Bank Park. All my neighbors are Phillies fans. My Daughter bought me a flag with 27 time ws Champions on it. I hung it outside Xmas morning and I’m surprised it is still there…..
