Mark Derosa For Left Field

I am a Mark Derosa fan. I think his multi-positional value is underrated. I for one would be very happy to see the yankees sign him. According to Rotoworld Derosa could want a 3 year 27 year contract. Now he is 34 but if i was the yankees i would try to land him at 3/21. For one he would offensively bolster our OF with killing our budget. Second he could be an infield replacement. Days he does this, Granderson would play left and Gardner would play center. I believe this is the final piece the yankees should make

I just dont see

why the Yankees would move Granderson to Left for Brett Gardner just so DeRosa can play an infield spot. The only way Granderson is not playing center are the days Girardi gives him a rest or if Granderson is hurt.

Why on earth would you want to pay

7 million a year for 3 years for a 34 year old player? I would rather have Damon back for 2 years 10+ million.

Agreed. Why would you give a multi-year contract to a utility man? There’s a reason he’s learned to play every position.

Nah...

Why do the Yanks need a utility guy? They have plenty of young IF on the roster who hopefully make the squad, and isn’t Gardner gonna be the 4th OF?

They need a LF. A starting LF. Not a utility guy.

Even if we did, I think we could live with Hairston.

Yankees all day.

F##king left field again?

Sit em all and put Cervelli out there, outfield discussion over.

just put Cervelli everywhere

then we’ll go 162-0, and make the league happy by cutting all our payroll!!! It’s Win-Win (and lose for the other 29 teams, who will be in shock when they see Cervelli at work, and will be wondering why they even made the trip to try and compete against him).

Just go get Nady on the cheap

and let Brett play until he is back.Maybe the Boras bitch slap was really to negotiate Xavier back and not Damon?
