???

While it would have been infinitely more enjoyable to just wrap up the title on Monday night in Philadelphia, there is something to be said about having Andy take the hill in the the Bronx with a chance to lock down number twenty-seven.  You'd like to believe that if any of the "ghosts" from across the street were to ever make their way over to the new Stadium for a Yankee classic, it would be with #46 on the mound.  Here's to one more win, Andy!

Oh jeez, I hope you're right

Andy often has one sub-par outing in the post-season. And I have to confess that Andy on three days rest worries me. Of course, I’m a worrier, but I don’t think it’s unjustified.

Just hoping that we can get on Pedro even more than we did last time, and that if Andy goes a good six innings and we have a lead, someone (Marte? Robertson? Joba?) can pitch a clean inning and that Mo can have a good two inning save.

Andy will be fine

I think game 6 on 3 days rest or not, theres nobody we would rather have on the mound. This guy has shown as time and time again how clutch he is for us, he will be great and Yankees will get to Pedro even worse then the first time. Lets get this in 6!

Who else?

Lets face it, the Yanks were stuck between a shit and a fart today anyway.

Start Gaudin yesterday…the same outcome probably happens. Then Wednesday you got AJ? AJ can do the same thing on any days rest, he’s been that unpredictable this season (all in all, good season AJ..would like to see a bit more of Toronto Blue Jays AJ next season tho….)

Or its like it plays out now, with Andy on 3 days. Who feels more confortable with AJ on full rest starting a game 6 or Andy on 3 days?

I know I’d rather have Andy.

Plus, while Phil Coke sucks….Girardi managed to keep the BP fresh for the next one. Marte and Joba are the 2 main guys right now..also, that GOAT fella? Probably can go 2 at least.

Does Andy have 6 innings? That’s all I ask. 6 innings, keep it close.

This game’s on the bats. They’ve done fine after game 1, so I think they’re back.

Plus…Matsui and Jorge for a whole game?

We got this.

I can’t tell you how much I hated having Matsui out of the line-up. Stupid NL rules.

Play today, win today, ‘das it.

There's really no reason the NL exists.

This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons.

Andy is great, and of course be the winner in game 6.
Three days rest… no matter, he have courage and pants, also he will start again at home and he is hight motived to continues the yankees leyend.
I think Marte will be the best choise to short time at box to keep the game in our pokects until MO arrives to get the 27 champioshit.

Andy will rise to the occasion ...... as he always has!

I had ESPN on for chunks of the day. It was amazing …… these talking heads went on-and-on-and-on-and-on-and-on about how Girardi made a huge blunder in starting AJ on 3 days rest and now Pettitte will be likewise ineffective pitching on 3 days rest. Ugh ….. what garbage. Andy will be at home with a more productive offensive lineup and against Pedro who the Yankees have now seen one time through. Andy may give up 2 or 3 runs in 6 innings. If so ……. we’re fine because I think we’re going to be explosive tomorrow night against Pedro. ESPN needs to fill up their time with some more varied topics. Yanks will take their 27th tomorrow as Andy extends his all-time lead in post-season victories to 18.

I don't think the 3 days rest effected AJ all that much.

I’ve seen worse from him on regular rest. Its not that big of a deal.

Yankees all day.
